  1. I'm no expert but I think both use the APFSDS.
  2. Doesn't the Challenger have Chobam II (Dorchester?) armour while the M1 has Chobam I. Of course the M1A2 is networked better and that should make a difference.
  3. Backup the whole folder. Get your current shock force folder and copy it with a new name, then create all your shortcuts etc to it. You can then update the copy in the original folder and as your PBEM games come to an end you can migrate to the new version (it's definitely worth it). I wouldn't recommend any other way because if your data files get updated and you try to run with an old version exe it'll crash.
  4. I play WEGO and I'm zoomed the flup (I assume that's what it was anyway) out as well. I really have no interest in each specific infantryman. I just want to see if I'm winning.
  5. Yes, you need to make a backup of the whole game directory, call it CMSF1.10 or sumfink and run your existing games from there. You can have as many incremental backups as you like. You can't run the existing games because
  6. I think a lot of them are one step away from dazzle camo. Ugly here is used affectionately, like one might to Sergei, except with affection.
  7. Sorry, I'm a little unclear on what you're saying. You know you can define the hotkeys as you want? See http://www.battlefront.com/community/showthread.php?t=84362
  8. The worst tactical limiter is lack of misidentification I think.
  9. My brother in law has an obse...interest in ships. Ugly ships in particular. So he made a website: http://www.uglyships.com/ Enjoy, if that's the word.
  10. And the target? Moving or static, army or marines (more eyes), dawn, dusk or noon? Given all that, being spotted at that distance does seem too far. And certainly my in-game experiences would make it seem so.
  11. There are many factors that impact spotting. Adam - maybe if you post a screenshot of your test case so we can see it? After all there's a huge difference between being in the open and being dug in, or behind concealment. In WWII soldiers would have very little chance of getting a confirmed visual sighting of a concealed MG. I remember a story of one shooting up a company for day until the leaves it was displacing over its cover were spotted moving. But again that's a dug in, behind concealment, no optics on the soldiers weapons etc. All advantages to the MG. In Syria with dust, no concealment and not dug in you could see an MG easily at that range. So lets have a closer look.
  12. I think the colours could do with being a lot different from each other. And if it's just a bmp then the text changed. One for our gallant mod makers maybe?
  13. You know if you give Javelin - and other - teams buddy aid the aiders will often recover the weapons?
  14. What more could you want? Your mastery of the squidgeys of the depth knows no bounds. Women want you and men want to BE you. God bless you. And your organ.
  15. Definitely. I feel a distinct pang when one of my guys goes down. Thinking back on the attacks I did in CM1 where I took a short cut between two clumps of trees even though there was an MG covering because I'd "only" lose 2 - 3 men but save 2 minutes. Don't think I'd be able to do that now.
  16. I never saw any of that. Just ran to the end. I'll give it a few months before doing it again. I think I'm conditioned by Half Life and its ilk to just achieve the goals as fast as possible.
  17. Give a covered arc. If you press shift+cover arc it gives a 360 arc around the unit. Not that I'm advocating hunting into an occupied building.
  18. Units DO share info when in close proximity. Hull down is easy to check. Set the waypoint and select it. Target from it and see if the tooltip says "spotter is partial hull down". I agree with Thomm on the smoke and Syrian squad splitting and I'd go with no infantry passable/vehicle impassable terrain.
  19. Surely when you have a technological advantage you push with it and make sure you can't be caught? Just because we're fighting small wars now doesn't mean that will always be the case.
