BTR
I am afraid there is no chance, but Vein's excellent infantry skins go like bread and butter with my palette, both with RU skins and with UA skins.
Sgt.Squarehead
These look really good, especially the Russian stuff (the multiple greens bugged the hell outta me).....Going to try to see if I can get them installed, but I'm a complete numpty with mods.
Sgt.Squarehead
Well that was easy.....Looks the dog's bollocks too! Cheers BTR!
BTR
I was just writing up a quick tutorial when I saw your update. My pleasure.
Sgt.Squarehead
I just had a very silly idea.....I'd opened a blank scenario and dropped a Russian BMP Tactical Group and a Ukrainian BMP Tactical Group into it to look at your skins. Then I had one of those "I wonder?" moments that curse us all, so I saved it as a scenario, then started it up. If you have not done this yourself already, I highly recommend it, my cheeks are still damp from the tears of laughter.....It is truly, truly the maddest minute you will ever see! PS - Cheers for the tutorial offer - maybe write it up anyway for the benefit of other n00bs? Your skins definitely deserve the exposure and the loading screens are a classy touch too. BTR
There is an issue with BMP-2 turrets since that got updated textures in a patch. There are also possible issues with T-90M, but I've not yet seen any pop up.
BTR
RU BMP-2 corrected, insert this into your z folder *only* if you have 1.4 or higher. LINK
Sgt.Squarehead
There seem to be two files, I downloaded the one on the left. Where the hell should my z folder be though? Made one.....Not sure that I'll be sure it's worked as I hadn't spotted the initial problem, do you have a before & after I could look at? HerrTom
@Sgt.Squarehead you should put both of them in the "Combat Mision Black Sea\Data\z\" folder, or in the "mods" folder in Documents. One of them is for the plain old BMP-2, the other for the BMP-2M. The 1.4 version shuffled both of those textures around.
Sgt.Squarehead
Cheers for the heads up fella, I've grabbed the extra .bmp and bunged into it my shiny new z folder.....Mods are a new thing for me. BTR
I want to make a proper wooden AKS-74U that isn't in black polymer for Ru forces. The AKSU is linked in texture to the AK-74M so I see no way to do it, but perhaps someone with more modding knowledge can help me?

Use my Blender tools to import the model into Blender, then change the diffuse texture to your modded texture and export the model.
BTR
Thank you, might do so over the weekend. Do your tools work for vehicles too and other objects or only weapons?
BTR
I got rather curious yesterday and I feel like I am getting somewhere :).
BTR
And a quick export later we are a go. Damn this bug bothered me since release and thanks to you @sbobovyc I finally corrected it.
SchnelleMeyer
Finally we start seeing mods being made with the use of Sbbobovyc's excellent tools! Thanks for the preview BTR.
BTR
Well I wouldn't call it a full blown mod, but the tools are certainly superb. What I would call a mod is what I am working on right now - which is the 6B48 crew individual protection kit. Once it is done I will release it, the AKS-74U fix for Ru force and the 6Sh122 kitted infantry (like the pic above) all in one pack. While I was on the fence about the 6B48 initially as it is used only in several formations atm (all western MD but the arctic brigades) but there is no way to assign different crew models to different vehicles and the 6B48 provides something fresh for the game. The Steppenwulf
This is great work BTR! Sbobovyc' tools have so much potential and are such a breakthrough for the modding community. I really wish I had time to make use of them myself. Thanks for your efforts!
BTR
Alright, as promised this includes 6Sh122 that has to be downloaded with Vein's Ru Infantry skins if you want the full package, AKS-74U wooden fix for Ru forces and 6B48 kit that I will probably update with proper EMR tone in the near future. Sgt.Squarehead
@BTR Is there any chance that you might redo your BMP-3 to repair the nasty things that happened with the CM:BS 2.01 patch please (IR laser/spotlight and colour change).....It would be very much appreciated, I'm sure.
