I have even less remaining HD space than you! :D

But I keep all the games on my peripheral HD. Much cheaper than buying a whole new computer.

Yeah I loaded CM onto a secondary drive with plenty of room. I even have a third completely spare drive. I just wish MS didn't force the files to appear in the my documents folders. CMBN is so much easier to manage space for.

Doesn't loading games in a 2nd HD tend to slow em down? I was told to keep everything in the primary HD with the OS.

Plus, I plan to get a large SSD to make that even faster.

The determining factor is not which drive the game / data resides on but how fast the drive is and how fast the connection is. So a second fast drive that is in the case and connected directly to the HD controller will be just as fast as the drive where the OS is - if the two drives are similar. Drives outside the case tend to be connected by a slower connections (like USB). You can connect drives outside the case with fast connections but that takes a bit of planning and making sure you have the right ports, cases etc.

Moving to an SSD drive is a nice way to go. I no longer have to go get a coffee while I wait to load up even the biggest turns.

Yes, it is the connection that matters. I did not mean to imply otherwise. Sorry for the confusion.

I guess I think of drives installed as inside the computer case to be connected via the fastest way possible for your computer. That is not totally correct but you would have to work harder to connect an internal drive up a slow way.
