theFightingSeabee
Seabee not sure if you have found these but they may be of use to you http://www.6juin1944.com/assaut/omaha/en_page.php?page=maps I have those pointe du hoc maps but I'll bookmark the site. Thanks man!
theFightingSeabee
I'm going to have a mod pack. Vein will let me use his 2nd Rangers mod. Also, LongLeftFlank inspired me to make a "surf" mod for ambient sound. It really adds a lot of atmosphere. It's coming together quite nicely!!! I think this will be the most realistic digital recreation of Pointe du Hoc EVER MADE!
MikeyD
Really, when you see that map in 3-D view your hair stands on end.
theFightingSeabee
Pointe du Hoc v1.0 is FINAL! I have just uploaded it to the repository. It will take a little while before they publish it. Also, I've uploaded the Pointe du Hoc Mod Pack. Please install these mods before playing! Thanks to Battlefront.com, handihoc, Thomm, and Paper Tiger. I owe them some beers.

Hellmann
I was watching The Longest Day (1962) last night, so your mod came in at just the right moment. Beautiful map design work, thanks for sharing it my friend.
theFightingSeabee
One mistake: I left the hidden gun position on the terrain markers, so turn them off for a greater challenge. Control +L.
theFightingSeabee
Sorry, Alt+L.
TALasinski
About 70% thru file load, Pointe du Hoc crashes. This happens on both 4MB 17" Mac Book Pro and on a 8MB 27" iMac I5. Am running latest OS X. Have down loaded other battles with no problem. Curiously, first time I ran on Mac Book, it ran.... Any suggestions? Tom
theFightingSeabee
Hi TALinski, I returned your pm with a suggestion, basically to re download in case the file is corrupt. Read the pm and let me know.
Sequoia
Fighting Seabee. I suspect when Battlefront does the Market-Garden module they will have campaigns that feature maps of actual places along that long road to the Rhine. They should hire you to do those maps. (or is this a labor of love?)
TALasinski
Hi TALinski, I returned your pm with a suggestion, basically to re download in case the file is corrupt. Read the pm and let me know. Sigh, re download doesn't help. Also, I can edit the file and it seems to be all there...
theFightingSeabee
Sequoia, I may do a map or two. I could have but worked on this instead. BFC didn't want to release a scenario with the game that highlights a bug. Plus, landing craft and other things beach landing related are not modeled. Almost all the maps made were made by beta testers who work out of love and dint get paid. TAL, il bring it up with the beta testers on the inner boards. Don't know what else to try.
Coaxial Puppet
I'm having the game quit when trying to load the map as well. I'm on a mac.
theFightingSeabee
Are you mac guys using the recommended mods? If so, try without them. Please let me know.
MikeyD
The scenario opened and ran okay for me, though there's obviously a drain on my poor CPU with all the action going on at once. The scenarios a delight! One of those where you'll be going back to it a dozen times trying to get it 'right'.
theFightingSeabee
Thanks MikeyD, that means a lot coming from you. Yeah, the first 10-15 minutes are pretty hectic. But once you have control of the trenches, it becomes a lot more "tactical" as you try to move your men out toward the road.
