  1. No, only Italians and Commonwealth (CMBN) are on there I think. There MAY be some old Germans on there but they are 'old'.
  2. If there are corresponding files the mod will work. However if there is a new model with the same skin name then you might see some funky armour rolling about. Best thing to do is to try. You can always remove them if they don't work.
  3. Which you can download here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/8hl59zg07e0vv7h/Veins CMBS Russians.rar?dl=0 Ukraine (in response to below from BTR): https://www.dropbox.com/s/u6pe1vtt5jz7w0d/Veins CMBS Ukrainians.rar?dl=0
  4. You know what... there might be. If there aren't any guys wearing shorts in that download then there is another version on my hard drive. I need to add a lot of CM stuff back into my dropbox so will have a look when I get around to it. I am straddling England and Germany at the moment so at any one time I might not have access to all my hardrives.
  5. Updated tracers included here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/q262mctll7m4osy/Veins CMBS special effects.rar?dl=0
  6. You would have to replace either red, orange, white or green.
  7. The special effects are universal. So you can use them across ALL cmx2 games.
  8. It seems I had TWO special effects mods: one for ww2, and one for modern. I had changed one and gave the link for the other. Doh. Link updated above.
  9. Tracer and muzzle flashes updated in my Special Effects mod. This is option C only (in case you downloaded from the old repository instead of from my dropbox). These are the only ones there will be. If the link has a daily download limit you'll just have to wait for it to refresh. If it goes dead for any reason just drop me a PM. I have only tested red and green tracers so let me know if the white ones come out rainbow coloured or somesuch foolery. Enjoy (updated link): https://www.dropbox.com/s/q262mctll7m4osy/Veins CMBS special effects.rar?dl=0
  10. Haven't bought the upgrades yet (just about to), so will undoubtedly update my effects mod shortly.
  11. The texures get applied at random from the selection available for each model every time you LOAD a scenario. The game doesn't remember which unit has which skin. This is more noticable with mods as they have more than one skin applied to a vehicle whereas the vanilla game USUALY (not always) tends to have only one texture per vehicle.
  12. Just my effects mod. And perhaps my CMBN US uniforms but I can't remember.
  13. Take care of yourself and a speedy recovery. Wouldn't be the same around here without you.
  14. YOU, pm ME. I send YOU the links. I'll send them to you now... Sent
  15. 1. Create your base pattern to be double the size you'll need it. Either from scratch or if it's a bugger like the US camo find a good swatch image online and splice it together using the clone tool or masked layers or whatever. 2. Fill the uniform layer with your pattern and resize so the pattern is the correct size to its real world counterpart. Make the pattern different for each arm/leg (move it up or down on one leg for variation), and make sure you note that the pattern is the right way up (as the arms on the bmp are head to toe). 3. Add in creases on a new layer using a much darker version of your base colour. Make a selection on your base layer pattern a little larger than a crease and use 'Transform/warp' to bend the pattern around the crease so that it looks more realistic. 4. Add a vest base colour. Find a few images of the vest you want and start selecting bits and reconstruct it on your vest layer. You will probably need to clone bits, warp bits and even redraw bits in to get a complete vest depending on how accurate you want it to look. 5. Add in shadows along the vest bits. Not too deep. A 4 pixel brush at around 60% opacity should do it. Or you could ultilise Drop Shadow if you know how to use it with deftness. 6. Repeat 4-5 for knee pads etc. This is just a broad stoke guide to making a diffuse map. You could add in cloth texture patterns, dirt, desaturate bits where the cloth would be stressed - knees, elbows etc. If you need any advice just drop me a PM. Attached is the layout of the Russian uniform showing which bit is which (if I recall correctly).
  16. Your message box is full so I can't send you the links. Some housekeeping is in order methinks.
  17. I'm with MikeyD here. Go for FI. It's a great game in itself and it will introduce you to the great gameplay without the frustrations of bocage fighting which offers a unique challenge. It also has such a range of batles - from dusty to snowy that it feels more like a game and a half.
  18. I have already sent the links to you... on the 16th. Check your messages. If you want them again send me a PM.
  19. It should be simple enough if you have the Marines module. Unpack the game files. Find the Gun_M16.mdr (or whatever it's called) and its corresponding Lods and copy them. Rename the files to match that of the Gun_m4.mdr and lods and drop them in your mod folder. So Gun_M16.mdr becomes Gun_M4.mdr etc. I don't have CMSF installed at the moment so the names are just guesswork. Edit: Ninja'd
