panzermartin
The last hamachi channel I created was full of inactive users, so I created a new one for anyone who wants a game of NATO or other CMSF module. name: CMSFARENA pass: alibaba see u there! Sorry for not posting this in the opponent finder place but things are not exactly lively there
Waaarg
Does anyone actually look there for opponents? Just curious.
panzermartin
Well I doubt..Wish this was replaced by a dedicated online CM chat/lobby.
LJFHutch
I definitely recommend joining, had a great game the other day.
panzermartin
For those who dont know, hamachi is a free lan emulator: http://www.filehippo.com/download_hamachi/ This overcomes the hosting problems with routers etc.
Berto
There is a room on tunngle.net, "Combat Mission: Shock Force". Tunngle is better than Hamachi, the lobby may contain 255 players!

I personally didn't like Tunngle much, it killed my IM program and was a serious pain to set up.

BFCElvis
Thanks for the bump. I need to have my Hamachi set up. I love a TCP game when I can get one.

panzermartin
Heheh..thanks for playing Elvis. Got to admit the scenario was rather big for someone who lacks online experience. Also, the "inside" intelligence helped a bit I will probably tweak the force balance, maybe the germans are not so uber after all.

BFCElvis
Just got done a hoot of a TCP against noxnoctum. One of the NATO scenarios (De Hinderlaag). He was like a well oiled machine taking a major VL from me. Stunning precision. I had a bunker (default placement) though that proved to be the right thing in the right spot and it did enough harm to give us a draw. Lots of fun.
noxnoctum
Haha yes that bunker was a pain in the ass. First my dutch IFV bumps into it 10 feet away... and gets scared off! And retreats backwards INTO the city (which I intended to just clobber from long range) and into the waiting arms of an RPG team. It was all down hill from there lol. Just out of curiosity... does it make much sense that an IFV would be scared of a MG bunker? I mean it wasn't taking any damage. Maybe the crew was green or something, I didn't check.

MeatEtr
It's not working for me, it keeps saying the Hamachi server has denied your logon request. Edit: Ok I'm in, I had to do this to logon correctly: https://logmeinsupport.com/kblive/crm/selfservice/displaywh.jsp?DocId=938&SecMode=1
toxic.zen
this should be made sticky and/or added to battlefront toolbar...
MeatEtr
this should be made sticky and/or added to battlefront toolbar... Well I don't know about that since there can only be 16 users at a time. Unless somebody buys the commercial version and then we get 256 users. Tunngle works well already and it supports 255 users right now.

panzermartin
Hamachi is enough for CMSF. I've never seen more than 5-6 people online at the same time 3 years now. And half of them never answer back anyway
