Lanzfeld
Who gets to nail that hot princess at the end? I'll be that guy.

Michael Emrys
May I suggest a recreation of some of the original CMBO demo scenarios in CMN? I expect that's pretty much inevitable. At least among the player-generated scenarios. Michael

MikeyD
One unfortunate issue with redoing old CMBO missions is a lot of the 'favorites' take place during the Bulge battles or the invasion into Germany, which is a bit inconvenient for this title. Others require the British or Commonwealth... again inconvenient until the first module shows up. Even more inconvenient for me is I haven't had a working copy of CMBO since I was running mac OS 8.5... a loooooong time ago

I never used 8.5. I think I went straight from 8.1 to 8.6. But even more importantly, by the time CMBO came out, I was already on a 9.2 machine. Pvt. Ryan
We need this fire effect in CMN: Skip to 1:10 for the good part.
MeatEtr
If this was 1988, yes that fire effect would be fine. But it's 2010 now, how about this one.
Vergeltungswaffe
Hope to see that in CM3.
Frenchy
Just returned from my grandfather's WW2 division reunion. As usual, I always come back with pictures. The gun the 70th Infantry Division soldier is standing next to appears to be a German AT gun. Can anyone confirm this?
Michael Emrys
Looks to me like the 5cm PaK 38, which were pretty common from 1942 on. http://anonymous-generaltopics.blogspot.com/2009/01/5-cm-pak-38.html See especially this image: http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_CbwnjooteyI/SWIbDuoZBuI/AAAAAAAAf1A/J5BtuIgUUOI/s1600-h/9.jpg Michael
c3k
Looks like it MAY have been purposely disabled by firing after draining the hydraulic recuperator. Check the muzzle even with the gunshield. I don't see any impact damage from incoming HE/AP.
AslakH
You sure it's not the PaK 97/38, Michael? Heck, it might be the 5cm PaK 38, but the barrel and muzzle break scream 75mm PaK 97/38 to me.

Frankly, I had never heard of this improvisation before, so was not looking for its features. Thanks. Michael

Possible?
AslakH
Frenchy, the PaK 97/38 was just that. French 75mm gun mated with the PaK38 carriage and shield. Hence the designation. Funny thing, I've seen one of those rare guns in use during modern times. (Kosovo in the '90s)
