When you read what he did, you can see why he won a VC. Brave man. bodkin Posted January 16, 2009 Share Posted January 16, 2009 To qualify for the VC requires acts of heroics to meet certain conditions, which are: The VC is awarded to persons who, in the presence of the enemy, display the most conspicuous gallantry; a daring or pre-eminent act of valour or self-sacrifice; or extreme devotion to duty.
