jhdeerslayer
I heard about some issues with vehicles. Does this affect infantry also? This is the first scenario of the campaign. I've tried two different squads to go through this gap and they want to run all the way around the wall instead.
Guardsman
Yep, definately a problem. I've run some tests as posted before. If there's rubble on the floor of the breach, you can go through. These only seem to occur when already on the map at the start or caused by off map arty. Direct fire from main guns/missles etc causes a rubble free gap, so you can't go through those breaches. jhdeerslayer
OK thanks. Can't recall if I created that gap or not. I thought it was there from the beginning of the scenario but maybe I just missed I took it out as I did take the building out. Either way, what a bummer. Maybe make it for 1.03 fix.
Panzerfest
Ive had problems advancing thru a breach that was adjacent to a corner like in the above screenshot, I got frustrated and open the breach almost twice as wide but still no vehicle or dismounts would go thru.
B00M$LANG
Your problem is the end node of that path...it's in the rubble of a building! Try giving a path through the opening and not ending in/on something the soldiers cannot get through/enter.

So I can't enter rubble at all?
Watson & Crick
Ah, I had this same problem in the same place in the campaign. I also created a "breach" by blowing up the wall with a tank. I tried to get men as well as strykers through the "hole." Perhaps tanks and strykers should not be able to go through a breech but surely dismounted infantry should be able to go through. Can someone from BFC comment?
Mud
Hm. I didn't see any problems sending Strykers or infantry through walls breached by MGS fire during the second campaign. Well, not pathfinding issues, anyway. So -some- breaching with cannonfire works. The pathfinding issues I've had so far mostly concern the middle of cities, with odd detours.

Nope in my game, my infantry did not cross the breach and got massacred because they were redirected to the main gate.

Mud
It's a military outpost with no civilians, isn't it? And with no orders placing any value on capturing it even slightly intact... Doesn't sound unreasonable to level the compound, and you ARE assigned those lovely 155mm assets...

I know... but seems too easy that way.
wunwinglow
It is an abstracted breach. It might LOOK like a breach, you might be able to see through it now that it has appeared, there might rubble strewn around indicating a true breach has been created. But no. It is an abstraction. Do a google search on the works of Rene Magritte, especially pipes. Which were not pipes. In French. Discuss..... wun
