  1. I just fired up Arma 3 with the the IFL port to try the new Zeus Mode. Among other things you can play missions RTS style with a free view cam! Despite some bugs/glitches It was pretty fun, looks awesome and definitely will be on my radar as it is optimized. That said I find myself playing more Arma 2 than 3, mostly Wasteland for some quick action to blow off some steam.
  2. I can confirm that 20mm Flak 30/38 penetrations leave decals, this is from 2 QBs against SU-76 maybe non-penetrating hits do not? Have not tested..

  4. According to 'After the Battle #5' the footage is legit. "At 7:00am the next day the 51st Sapper Battalion managed to cross the canal and the well-known pictures of the dinghy crossing the cutting were taken at this point. They then advanced on Block 2 which, if it could be silenced, would leave the north of the fort defenseless and enable the whole battalion to enter the fortress. The observation dome had already had a 50kg charge exploded on it by men from Glider 3 and later a 12.5kg from Glider 9. A German cameraman was on hand to record the attack on this blockhouse, led by Feldwebel Portsteffen which he began with a flame-thrower attack. A 50kg charge was exploded against the embrasure , killing one Belgium soldier and wounding six others and the position silenced."

  9. Shrecks are great because they have a long reach, Ive been plugging tanks 200m + routinely!
  10. Movement commands inside the setup zone places the unit, movement commands outside of the setup zone result in movement waypoints.
  11. After frantically playing through the demo a couple (many) of times, half distracted by everything new going on, I finally sat down and played Busting the Bocage thoughtful and measured way. Wow, at fist I didn't like the bocage but it really does make for an interesting tactical environment. Cant wait for the full game, QBs, campaigns and starting some PBEMs! Great job Battlefront! ps please give us cover armor arcs!
  12. I deployed them in the treed gully behind town with one of the ammo bearer teams in a radio jeep. Not sure if the jeep needs to be manned, but it seemed to work!
  13. I'm hoping that real time with a 30 second replay makes it in sometime!
  14. Maybe being able to fire backblast AT weapons from inside damaged buildings would be a good compromise!

  16. I pre-ordered and am in the same boats. It's my first time using paypal and it seems that 5 business days was an optimistic estimate for the funds to clear.. NATO beat Paypal. The order is still pending.
  17. I'd like vehicles to have the acquire ability, not only could you put stuff back if you messed up but replenishing depleted MG/coax ammo definitely has a use. Also with the new feature ammo sharing feature in CM:A is there any plans to implement ammo sharing between vehicles in Normandy?
  18. I had CM running on a 106" HD projector for a while, it was definitely overkill but was fun for awhile. I had the volume pumped and was zoomed in on one of my tanks when it caught a ATGM, I damn near had a heart attack!
  19. Well I just noticed tanks breaking through walls which I wasn't expecting. A quick test shows that all low walls can be driven through with tanks, which incur minor track damage, way cool!
  20. As a owner of a Toyota diesel I have to point out that they do not require the electrical system once running. As I found out a couple of weeks ago when my alternator failed 100km into the bush. My battery was drained by the time I hit pavement but it sure beat walking!
  21. With the quality of the pre-made QB maps we have now, wierd random maps seem like a step backwards..
  22. I really enjoy surveying the battlefield at the end of a battle. I find myself wondering where the buddy aided enemy's casualties were incurred, whether its a blood stain or chalk outline it would make my forensic investigation of the battle more complete. I guess this also ties in with the kill stats, armor penetration details etc etc. Basically I want CSI:CM!
  23. I don't think its that important but I'd like to see it as an option, it wouldn't hurt the game!
