Statisoris
This was listed in the 1.04 Notes * Antitank specialist is more likely to be the man who picks up an antitank weapon (say, when unloading a Javelin from a Stryker). I'm not seeing any improvement in this, I tried as many squad types and split teams as I could, but nothing seems to ever get the AT specialist to aquire the Javelin. Seems strange that it never works for me when its suppose to happen most of the time now.
MarkEzra
I've checked, too with the same result....actually it was 100% anybody else . Perhaps BFC should take another look see

Statisoris
Since we are highlighting this issue, I was wondering.... What is the the AT specialist designed to do differently with a Javelin or AT-4 than would a non AT specialist as it is now. Does the specialist have quicker and more accurate reactions to AT tasks (reloading, aquiring a valid target, aiming, firing ...), or is it simply a title with no under the hood bonuses? Could someone with real knowledge on this chime in.
Martin Krejcirik
Shouldn't the more advanced weapons, like Javelin, be reserverd to AT specialists _only_ ?
PeterLorre86
On a related note (bug), has anyone noticed the bug with removing AT-4s from Bradleys or Strykers? Everytime i do this and debark the squad, i watch as all but one of the AT-4s disappear from the unit's weapon pannel. I noticed this pre 1.4, and will upload a video of it happening to better show what im talking about. Edit: Cant find a place that lets me upload the videos, they are too large, i can send them to you directly at request. If you replicate it let me know.

PeterLorre86
Or you can try it yourself, seems to happen every time i try it. In the test i used Bradelys, since the QB strykers i tried had no AT4s in cargo. I made a test scenario, with Bradleys, that also shows the problem.
Huntarr
Thanks Pete, I just replicated this one. Very easy to do. They drop the AT4's right when the end their waypoint dismount. Noting it in 1.05

Battlefront.com
This is a screwup on my part guys, sorry! I was supposed to get that little line in the release notes removed because we found out it wasn't fixed. The problem turns out to be data driven. I have the AT Specialist weighed down with AT4s, and therefore when the Squad goes to pick up a Javelin it sees that the AT specialist is overloaded and gives it to someone else. So in v1.05 I'll tweak the loadouts a bit so someone else has the AT4s, which is fine because everybody in the squad should be able to handle it perfectly well. The AT Specialist gets an accuracy bonus. To be honest it isn't that much because the Javelin is so damned accurate on its own. Reports back from Iraq show that someone who has never held a Javelin before can hit something first try. Also, there is a LOT of cross training so in actuality pretty much anybody with an AT weapon in a US Squad should have roughly the same chance of hitting than anybody else. The other issue that I've seen is that when I split the squad into the "anti-tank" team (two soldiers), neither of them are the anti-tank specialist. (Whether they have javelins or not.)
Huntarr
Billy, that was in the pic I posted earlier to show that it was still not fixed. Sorry you missed it.
Pandur
here it mey be a good place to add that it should be "forbiden" for the guy wich carries the javelin to man the "air guard" ports in a stryker. it looks cool sticking out of the port with modern throwing spear ready, but well, i never saw him using it from this position and i think it wouldnt do any good, so this could need a tweak.

The AT-4s are really pretty effective agianst red armour, knowing some tanks are coming, and being out of javelins, its frustrating to see your only other AT assest evaporate.

Huntarr
I forget sometimes we need to provide for your "special" needs. Next time I'll try to give you a time lapse play by play. Ok, here's your cookie wookie, now play nice.

I brought up a point that nobody had mentioned yet, including yourself. It's nothing to take offense over. I'm just trying to be helpful here and point out an additional, related bug.
Huntarr
Did I not use enough smiley faces? Are you ok? How much more does one need to show you that it is a joke and that you need to lighten up? I gave you what you asked for and did it in a light hearted way. If you want me to be serious then we can do that. You do rememer this is a game and not real combat? You have no idea when I pointed this out. I can't let you know that due to a NDA so chill out.

Mishga
He's a jarhead. What does he know about playing nice In the USMC handbook there is no definition of "nice" just "aggressive" "more aggressive" or "exterminate with extreme prejudice" so go easy on him
