  1. If drones have limited visibility for arty support, that would explain my experience. It basically behaves like if the spotter lost LOS, but not every time.
  2. I've had this problem with artillery too, but it seems to me it only happens with out of LOS fire (drone observation). Or it's just more frequent. Lots of spotting rounds way out of target. FFE may or may not be on target.
  3. I've noticed, after installing MG, that in the Scottish Corridor campaign mission 9, one of the bridges in the scenario became uncrossable for vehicles (the vehicle got stuck on the bridge). Save game available. Also please change the thread title to something more descriptive.
  4. Watched all 15 videos in one swing. Absolutely amazing, must have been awful amount of work. Is the voice of English narrator real, or is it synthesised ?
  5. I think this happens when the LOF is kind of marginal. It helps to reposition the tank to slightly better LOF (usually few meters forward).
  6. Gunnulf, I've tried only 12" BB so far, but it seems to me, it always fires full salvo of 12 guns (all 12 shells impact within say 5 seconds) a and the delay between salvos can be significant (if it fires more than one salvo at all). Is this what you observed ? If so, can you clarify your table, as rounds per minute number doesn't make much sense.
  7. Here is something I compiled earlier. http://www.battlefront.com/community/showpost.php?p=1274772&postcount=2
  8. In this case 7 minutes (as shown on the gun picture at the start of the mission), I didn't want to wait and count rounds for so long. Based on the ROF, it should be about 24 rounds. The duration can always vary by several rounds and also ROF can be quite changeable between individual rounds on bigger calibers and needs to be averaged. Mortars are very steady.
  9. Rule 1, the manual is always outdated or plain wrong. In this case it is just inaccurate ;-) The GUI really lacks information about expected rate of fire and length of mission (in rounds or minutes) so all you can do is painfull testing. I did some, feel free to add to the table. Veteran spotters and guns, flat map. For batteries, one tube only, more tubes fire simultaneously. Rate of fire is 1 round per x seconds. Duration is in rounds, or minutes if m suffix. US 60mm M2 mortar onmap Mission: Harass | Light | Medium | Heavy Rate of fire: 18 | 6 | 3 | 2 Duration: Q S M | Q S M | Q S M | Q S M Rounds: 6 7 7m | 3 20 30 | 3 19 24 | 3 16 US 81mm M1 mortar onmap Mission: Harass | Light | Medium | Heavy Rate of fire: 18 | 6 | 3 | 2 Duration: Q S M | Q S M | Q S M | Q S M Rounds: 5 10 15 | 6 10 28 | 3 10 25 | 6 12 22+ US 105mm M2A1 Howitzer Mission: Harass | Light | Medium | Heavy Rate of fire: 46-48 | 28-32 | 16-19 | 10-12 Duration: Q S M | Q S M | Q S M | Q S M Rounds: 3 6 14 | 2 7 12 | 3 6 12 | 2 6 12
  10. I did a lot of testing with US howitzers and mortars (mainly to learn how long the different fire missions are, because the artillery GUI is totally unfriendly and the manual lies) and never seen a mission off target. That is in ideal conditions and with veteran spotters. Make sure your spotter can see the area around the target and has radio connection.
  11. Noticed this too. They don't throw grenades on area fire order.
  12. It's not possible, AFAIK. In the editor, you have to use independent teams, instead of formations.
  13. Yes, I'm for pause, but with some limitation (say once per 30s) and auto-pause.
  14. 4.5 hours download time remaining, damn fileburst, BFC fix or do somefink.
  15. OK tanks are not able to breach low bocage. But what about infantry ? I cannot believe they wouldn't be able to get through, albeit slowly. This is VERY annoying issue (plus invisible gaps in bocage). I think the blast command should be extended to allow slow climbing over walls and bocage (and maybe even crossing mud and water) by any light infantry unit (certainly no guns, mg's, mortars etc).
