imported_mike_the_wino2
At least one screenshot shows what looks like a tank that has thrown a track. That's gonna be frustrating to watch your multi-million dollar, uber-tank grind to halt and transform into a pillbox.
Shadow 1st Hussars
Well, this image, certianly is showing a damaged track.
imported_mike_the_wino2
How about this one? And this doesn't look good.
Moon
Not sure what you mean mike_the_wino2? You can throw a track by going too fast (e.g. down a slope), or also by driving over obstacles or rough terrain. It's up to the player to take calculated risks sometimes or drive carefully. This is simulated very realistically. But most of the screenshots we have posted show tracks damage as result of combat, be it from direct hits or high-explosive blast. imported_mike_the_wino2
Thanks Moon, you sifted through my muddled post and got to the core of my curiousity. So we get thrown tracks from sloppy driving or damage...didn't even consider the former, as I typically don't have the occasion to drive a tank around.
Watson & Crick
Given your usual inebriated state, your simulated tank will never get very far from whence it started.

Backguard
Damaged track will be repaired automatically in 2 minutes (AFAIR). You can change time needed for repair or even disable track autorepair in configurator. Fenster_Redux
What does a two-bit tard like mike_the_wino know about tank warfare, attendant stress fractures and engagement mechanics? ****, that’s what. Let’s stick with what we know here. mike_the_ wino knows about homosexual male prostitution, the administration of narcotics intravenously and the deliberate dispensation of AIDS as a mean of terror and subversion. So the editorialization of his likes on this board is rather oxymoronic. Oh no, Moon is about to yawn again? Don’t open up wide sport, wino is around, cocked and ready (pun intended). Yawns are costly around such winos.
mike_the_wino
Fenster, you sackless, hamster-humping maggot. I hope you last long enough on these boards for me to punch a 120mm hole through that incredibly dense skull of yours. If you don't you will always wonder just how much I know.

Is it all dreamy and stuff?
MikeyD
Anyone who plays the CM games knows the pain of your übertank becoming immobile (usually the more expensive the tank the more often it happens). And CM doesn't have auto-repair. I can see myself becoming a BIG fan of auto-repair!

If your crew is outside to affect some repair and the MBT is under fire, it's going to take them a long time to complete the task IMHO. Then again, they've probably decided that a lovely holiday in the Crimea is far more beneficial and scarpered off. Mace
Backguard
Well... I played Russian game, and yes it's a bunch of fun. No, speed of repair affected only by you Tankers're not leaving the tank to make repair, so they cannot be harmed
