Andreas
Is that a European or an African 45mm round?
Downtime
IIRC about 1.429 kg if we are talking about UBR-243.

gunnergoz
I'd weigh the sample round in my collection but just remembered that it doesn't have propellant. Sorry!

Bruno Weiss
Aw dog-gone-it, my early war 45mm AP round has been fired. Last July, at the mail truck that went by. Missed ofcourse, but I did get a Good Humor ice cream wagon.
ParaBellum
I still got some ammo left from my Bundeswehr days... Once a girlfriend of mine found something. While playing with it she asked "Uh, what's that funny thing?". I casually replied :"A 40mm grenade." It was a training round of course, already fired. But you should've seen the look on her face. She never again looked into my drawers...

Guest Mike
I can finally reveal that the amount of beer that fits into the cavity in a 45mm APHE round is insignificant. The amount that fits in to the shell case is somewhat more useful, but doesn't taste as nice.

ParaBellum
Waaaa! That happens when you trust an online-dictionary... Chest of drawers, you morons! P.S. At least I finally made it into someone's sig line. Guess this were my 10 minutes of fame. And I didn't even notice it...Oh well...
