MrNoobie Posted October 8, 2002 Posted October 8, 2002 can someone give me a QB settting to get this beast...cuz i dont know when what armor comes out during the years
Rob Murray Posted October 8, 2002 Posted October 8, 2002 The Sturmorser Sturmtiger was only used during the Ardennes offensive so you'd have to make your QB at least Nov.-Dec. 1944. I got this info here. Hope this helps.
Warmaker Posted October 8, 2002 Posted October 8, 2002 Also, if you want to only test it in a small scenario (roughly 1k pts or less), you really need to turn the points system to none. A single Sturmtiger is insanely expensive (rare cat) and I remember seeing it with the varying pts system at about 1400 pts for one of them. If you REALLY need a heavy duty infantry killer with oustanding protection the Brummbars are pricey but very survivable and carry about 30+ 150mm rounds. Far more reasonable than the Sturmtiger. I must confess though, there is a certain pleasure derived from dismantling a well, laid out defense with a few well placed shots from the Sturmtiger. If you're absolutely insane, you could bankrupt the bank and get a platoon of these leviathans. It'll do more work than a batallion of infantry but it's placing all your eggs in one basket.
Fishu Posted October 8, 2002 Posted October 8, 2002 Ardennes was just one place where it was used. It was also used in western Eifel, east of Bonn, Reichswald... In three different companies.
mike the wino2 Posted October 8, 2002 Posted October 8, 2002 Warmaker is so right. Having played around with these bad boys they can be your best asset (182 out 286 kills) or your biggest waste (0 kills, tank abandoned and game ended as Allied victory). Balance, young one, always seek balance...and keep in mind that these beasts bog down if your inf has even sweated on parched earth.
Rob Murray Posted October 8, 2002 Posted October 8, 2002 P.S. You're probably better off using the Sturmpanzer or Stupa for short. The Sturmtiger does an incredible amount of damage ( takes out whole houses ) but it is a very clumsy vehicle and it takes about 4-5 turns to reload & only has 18 rounds of ammo.

MikeyD Posted October 8, 2002 Posted October 8, 2002 Geez, if you love the Sturmtiger so much why don't you just rent a motel room? My true love is that sexy Czech light tank. Come to me baby...
