Elmar Bijlsma
I just have to ask: Why don't you mod some proper tanks?
GreenAsJade
Is the scale of the driver to the tank right? These small tanks always emphsise the problem that the drivers just look too big.

Vergeltungswaffe
LOL. Flintstones. Thats a perfect description. I also can't imagine how anyone would go into combat in a tracked grocery cart.

You don't think it has advantages over a khaki shirt and horn buttons? In 1935, you'd be hard pressed to find anything better, methinks. Don't make the mistake of looking back with hindsight.
securityguard
That is the most frightening tank i've ever seen. I'd rather be on foot with a rifle than in one of those death traps.
gibsonm
Just remember: "a second class ride beats a first class walk anytime" Old RAAC saying. As for how good it looks compared to current gear, I bet if you asked the guys lining up on the 1st of July, 1916 (first day of the Somme) if they would prefer this (then futuristic vehicle) or a stroll through the wire - I'm pretty sure I know what their answer would be. Also you might want to look at a picture of a Panzer I sometime - same timeframe, not too different: Link to Panzer I Page [ December 29, 2003, 04:40 PM: Message edited by: gibsonm ]
CRSutton
There is a fine example of the Italian tankette at the Aberdeen Proving Grounds in Maryland. Well worth the visit. Useless looking little bugger if you ask me. Slow and cramped. Could be knocked out with a decent Heavy MG.

Don't make the mistake of looking back with hindsight. [/QB]Considering that the PzII, T-26, BT-5/7 and R-35 were all at least beginning production in 1935, I think I would have absolutely no problem finding something tremendously better. Btw, I'm not sure how one would look back without hindsight, unless perhaps the shortest distance between two points is actually a straight line in the opposite direction.
gautrek
Originally posted by Elmar Bijlsma: Why don't you mod some proper tanks? There is a reason why i mod these tanks and not "proper" ones as you call them. It stems from when i first started modding. I wasn't sure if my mods would be liked so my reasoning was that if i did the lesser tanks they would get used any way.And as they seem to be liked i have just carried on doing them. Also it means that to see my mods in game then you must use some of the more unknown vehicles. So maybe people will then try out the differant vehicles and have a laugh while doing it. And i will be getting round to doing some "proper" tanks as i am in the process of doing the M3 at the moment. Then i may do the cruiser tanks.
Herr Kruger
Great work, gautrek! It is good to see the less known vehicles get some lovin'! J Kruger
