Valentine updated. And together with that I saw a few more errors. There are 3 57mm 57/L50. 57mm AT Jul43 57mm AT Sep43 Valentine X And now I checked against CMAK again and now it should be correct. Thanx for the note.

...................................
Hi Folke, A small error for the Valentine III & V on the database, because they have 3 man turrets and not 2 man. I'm on a mission to comment the British infantry tanks at the moment (mainly because my usual TCP opponent is away...) so I'll keep waffling and uploading until it's done. Many thanks again for your work and quick action on this site [Edit] Whoops. There's a small problem with the Valentine VIII and Valentine IX as well. There should be no HE ammo and no co-ax MG either. [ October 10, 2004, 11:56 AM: Message edited by: Pheasant Plucker ]
junk2drive
Many thanks to Folke, Dandelion and now PP (and anybody else) for their work on this project. It certainly has helped me to understand things and make the game better for me.

folke
Thinking of starting (again) with the "advanced" search stuff.. Some thoughts: Guns -> (units with xx/Lxx gun) Armor -> (units with armor more than xxx) etc.. Any suggestions there?
Other Means
how about a filter on date? grey out the units that can't be selected. and how about a "best tank plus gun to counter best enemy tank at date" function. don't let it get in the way of playing mind.
folke
Site updated. Wolfe has done some updates on the Excel charts. Same updates on the site.. The only thing that isn't done yest is the ROF.

The date filter should be doable, but "best tank plus gun to counter best enemy tank at date". Can you elaborate that a bit. And, of course our games is priority

Oups, is was me testing a comments script for countries and categories. But at the test site I connected to the live db Well it's fixed now. GreenAsJade
The "compare" feature is just outstanding! It really makes this a great tool for selecting forces. Could the list of units in the "main" part of the page be determined by dropdown menus instead of the click-to-expand links? I'd like to be able to go from "US Support Mortars" to "British Support Mortars" just by changing the country through a dropdown menu, instead of all the way back to the top and down again... GaJ.

Thanks. I'm working on some filtering with dropdowns in the search page. I think that there is going to be something like that over there. For the time being try to search for the name in the search box. If you search for : mort fo you get all the Forward Observers Mortars for example. The search syntax isn't case sensitive.

folke
Humm, this thread is starting to be quite long Well I trying to keep up to Wolfes exellent work with the excell charts. But some more functions has been added. Now we can write comments on both countries and categories. And now you can discuss you favorite or worst units to.
...................................
W00t, by throwing in the odd half hour inbetween Dominions turns and RL, I've finally finished commenting all the British Infantry, Cruiser, Tank Destroyer and Cruiser CS tanks. Next up are the Brit Light and Medium tanks. Who wants to take bribes to have a go at one of them? Bribes will be in the form of barfworthy flattery with one post on this forum per week in perpetuity by yours truly. Ah go on, go on, go on, go on... Anyway, if you ever decide to take way your excellent site folke, first of all don't, and secondly can you let me have a copy of the information. The eventual selfish aim is to have a full aide memoir which I alt-tab to view while I'm on the QB purchase screen.
junk2drive
Thanks for everyone's work on this project. I don't know enough to help with your request. But I have pointed out some errors as I find them. The form is very simple and only takes a second to verify. I would try to add some pictures, what is the size for them? Can they be loaded from my computer or do they have to be on a url?
...................................
J2D - click on upload screenshot and pictures can be loaded straight from your PC onto folke's site, you don't need a URL
Other Means
Folke, two things that would really help me are: 1) the delay times for arty - does anyone have this info? 2) of course - the prices. i don't suppose BFC would part with that info, or does anyone have it?
folke
Thank you guys who makes the site alive! And I plan to let i live until the community don't needs it any more. I wrote some todo stuff in the suggestion forums. But for the moment I relax and plays some pbem's  But soon the development shall pick up speed again. There are some new stuff that Chris has looked up that shall be converted into the db. And the arty delay shouldn't be so much work. (if we only stated for Regular units) i guess. Perhaps I could put a form up for the cost that all who want's send in the cost for the units. I think that it is doable, but I don't know if there is any interest out there to help out with the values? You know, (Swedish saying): "Många bäckar små blir till en stor å" If there is interest for that, I will immediately start on that script.
