sdk
Just got CMBB/CMAK Bundle and am wondering if I really need too many mods for this version. CMBO probably needed improving but does CMBB ? Are there any mods that are must have ? Would appreciate any thoughts.
Alexei
I support this request and would also appreciate any info ! I am not new to CMBB but I just discovered that mods existed... I have looked through some examples but what would be great would be kind of before/after pictures, if any !
Jack Carr
My CMBB world is heavily modded and I can honestly say that it is worth it. It looks a thousand times better tham it did out of the box. My advice is start downloading.
Thin Red Line
According to me CMBB doen't need to be modded too much. A few AndrewTF's or MikeyD's cosmetics is sufficient.
AstroCat
I would definitely think the mods are a good time, for me they have really improved the feel of the game. Check some out and see what you think. Jordan "AstroCat"
Bluefish
As my computer can't handle CMBB I've yet to play it. I'm interested to know if CMBB looks as good out of the box as a fully modded CMBO?
MikeyD
CMBB looks as good out of the box as a fully modded CMBO (better, actually) because many of the top CMBO modders were called on to help with CMBB's default graphics. And CMAK looks about as good out of the box as a fully modded CMBB, so BFC's learning curve continues to go up-up-up! That being said, BFC simply didn't have the time to lavish excessive amounts of tender-loving care on each of the 300 or so vehicle types in the game. Tender-loving-care is exactly what the 3rd party mod artists can provide! CMBB's great out of the box, and with a little extra downloading it's a work of art too.
-E
MikeyD's post is right on the money. As to whether you want to mod CMBB, that's entirely personal preference for the most part. Having said that I think you should at least take a look at the winter mods... adds a lot for me to have at least some white-washed armor in the snow.
Wallybob
I have really appreciated the mods. Snow, camo, whatever, they have improved to look of the game. My thanks to all those who have made the mods I use. A Toast "To Melba". Really, thanks guys.

GreenAsJade
As others have observed, its not the "must have" that CMBO was, but its really worthwhile... - Game-play enhancer like grids and the ASL buildings (clear difference between heavy & light) - Candy like CW's sound pack and the sky packs - Tender loving care on certain vehicles as mentioned above, plus snow etc. (Just be careful not to loose your camoflaged infantry in the snow! I had one embarrassing experience that way! ) GaJ.
Alkiviadis
I've replaced every BMP practically, kind of like tinkering with a sports car on W/Es till you get it right. My BMP folder is pretty stablized right now. Definitely use gridded terrain - helps tremendously in terrain analysis - every little dip & rise in the ground counts.
zukkov
i have modded most if not all of the stuff in cmbb, so i don't remember what the originals look like. but like many have said, it's personal choice...
