GoodMorning ALL. How much different or better is the whole game outside the demo?

Recommended Posts

I appreciate you taking time to answer this even though its been posted before, I am sure. I didnt get a good chance to play the demo but from what I did it looks promising.

So again, is the acutall game a lot better, about the same, or worse than the demo.

Thanks and God Bless.

Ditto that. A much larger array of units and scenarios, plus a Quick Battle generator that creates a new random map and engagement according to your specifications each time you play it. Massive replay value, awesome game.

Ya I would say alot more of it.

Not to mention the ability to make scenarios operations, mods that change, tanks, uniforms, vehicles, faces, sounds

Lots, and lots of scenarios to download.US 44 ,45 troops, Airborne 44,45 Brits,Canadians, Polish,French,Germans, SS, Heer, and more but I am tired of typing. Lots of troops huh??? I have been a gamer for over 12 years now and nothing has kept my attention for this amount of time except CM.

Not a Newbie just changed names, I have been playing CM for about 10 months

Very Nice Hans,

Yes and if I may add, the demo is like a kiss at a high school prom and the full game is like a honeymoon with a centerfold nymphomaniac that owns a lingerie shop, and her father is LOADED and thinks you are the GREATEST guy his daugher has ever met. smile.gif

aka_tom_w,

Man,that sounds pretty good. Too good maybe for a game. Not sure my wife would like me enjoying it that much. Hehehe.

I do get the point. I am just trying to make sure not to waste my $45. I am sure I will be pleased if I get the entire game. Then I can come on here and get the facts on everything. Thanks for all your comments. I like to hear from the gamers what they think. And yes sometimes Message boards will have just as many people on them who hate the game as who love it. That does not seem to be the case here.

I've never owned another game with the amount of Replay Value that comes packed in CM. It's basically infinite.

One more bonus of the full game over the demo (as of now anyway) is that the full game can be updated to 1.1b24 and used to play TCP/IP... plus you get all the great tweaks to gameplay, that just make the game that much better.

Why must every potential new customer always worry about wasting money on CM?

Well I'll tell you what. I'd rather waste money on CM than buy ANY store bought game. Especially with today's piss-poor follow-up support from companies on their products.

BTS has strived to make a great game...perfect. CM has undergone numerous tweaks and enhancements since its release back in late June.

I think why people are so skeptical of buying CM is that it is only available on-line. Well I suggest everyone with this skepticism should read the Battlefront.com Manifesto. It'll answer any question you have as to why BTS took this route of sales and marketing.

The Demo was like a big jam donut with cream on top: it's arrival gave us pleasure, and its completion left us hungering for more.

The complete version is just pure crack.

I think the full game is significantly better than the demo because of the quick battles. The scenarios are quite good, but I've played far more QBs because I can always find something I'm in the mood for, or have time for -- from small company-sized infantry actions in the snow to large armor battles in hilly-but-clear terrain to actions where my battalion of conscript Volksturm must fight off a battalion and a half of green US units attacking through deep mud in pouring rain. Okay, I lied about playing a battalion of Volksturm in the mud; I'm never in the mood for that. But you get the idea.

It's cool to be able to pick your own forces, and it's also cool to let the computer pick the sides. Computer generated units let you fight with realistic forced that you would probably never choose yourself: it's easy to defend with two panthers, but it requires some careful thought when the computer gives you two 75mm HTs, a 150mm Inf. gun, a StuG and a Puma.

just buy it.

Than after a while you get angry if someone disturbes you.

You are rushing in traffic to get home .

On your work you are restless and watching the clock continuesly to see if it is time go home.

Than your wife starts hating you (or calling you names because you spent to much time with cm)

Than you don't want to go to your wifes parents or someones birthday or whatever.

and finally when you have forgotten the name of your wife (and or kids).

Only than you know you did a right buy. smile.gif

Trust me I know. smile.gif

With all the questions you are asking about the game and the time you are spending on this forum it's clear to me you really want to order it. Believe me, you'll never be sorry.

Why oh why do people ask all you yahoos if they should buy this game??????????????????

CM's motto should be:

Grog tested, MadMatt approved.
