Townsend is the town in Tennessee that i lived in and Vol stands for Volunteers. I am a graduate of the Univ. of Tennessee and their nickname is the Volunteers. Go Vols and God Bless.

Yep, spent 3 years in the United States Army. Basic at Fort Leonard Wood, AIT Fort Lee, ASI Fort Dix. Stationed Camp Page South Korea about 16 months. Fort Eustis Va. about 1 year. Was a Petroleum Supply Spcialists (Fuel Handler) and a truck driver (977 Hemitt) Got out as a Specialists.

I am ex military and no I am not a pacifists. I do think war is a terrible but sometimes necessary evil. God Bless.

I read about it in the manual really quickly and didnt get it. I was busy with other things like cooking dinner and could someone tell me this. Sorry if its a dumb question, but I promise to only ask it once.

Mudfrost, Yep, I got it Saturday afternoon. I was thrilled. But guess what I have yet to get to play it. I have had a chance to read some of the manual but I have been downloading MODS and scenerios from Wild Bill Wilder. I have had a chance to see if it would slow down on my Computer and it looks like I am going to have a tad of trouble in the HUGH ones. It slowed down a bit. But I think the rest will be okay and the Hugh might be good enough. I love Good Long, Big battles. I was just reading the news and the web pages and I came across the birthday wishes for wild bill and began to think really how great the internet can be. It allows us into the lives of people from all over the world and gives us a chance to interact with them on a personal basis. I know this is kinda corney but I hope it allows us all to get to know each other better and see that we are all just people that are really alot alike. Someone like WildBill does alot for others that he does not even know and it gives you pleasure (Me when i get the game) and that is wonderful. I was in the US Army and got a chance to be in S.Korea for about 18 months. I was able to see what its like for others in different parts of the world. Some say where they live is better, some say its worse, but we are all stuck together on this rather small planet. Forums like this makes the world smaller and opens up friendships to others we would have never known and the games themselves provide the interest. I Love my country and I am sure all out there love theirs and would be willing to die for it just the same as me but I hope that none of us truely ever have to do that as far to many lives have already been taken out. Its something to think about all those who die in wars and its not just them that suffer but all those families and friends. It amazing with so many affected by that tragedy that anyone would be willing to start another one. But thats the world we live in. I hope one day that is not the case. Anyway I am off my soapbox and I wish you all the best. Just some rambling thoughts on an Early saturday morning. Now lets go Kill some of those Damn German Nazis Bastards. HEHEHE God Bless.

Rommel22 Hey I bought the book yesterday but they are going to have to order it. I hope its as good as you say and as good as this story. I like books that have diary entries and stories from the actual soldiers. Thanks for the recommendation.

Yes, I got the mods and have installed some of them. i am going to have to dedicate a day to just sorting them out. When i get the full game I will download the Mod organizer and the patch for the game. Then I can get organized. Best games I have played. 1. Baldurs Gate 2 Hands down winner this year. 2. Roller Coaster Tycoon is a good game that wont break you and its addictive. 3. Shogun is not bad either but I have not fallen in love with it so its on the shelve while I play BG2 and CM. 4. Sid Miers Gettysburg for any Civil War person its a fun game. 5. European Air War is a great game but still again I dont play it alot due to time but great graphics. Baldurs Gate 2 Shadows of Amn is the best RPG I have ever played or heard about. Its hugh, immersive and a total time eater. Plus great reply value. I too am holding off on B-17 to see what the patches can do and I am not sure my computer would fair that well with its Minimum specs. Go Vols and God Bless.

Mudfrost, I just kept checking my Credit card till it had a charge on it. I have never been so happy to have a balance due on my credit card. Well atleast I wont be the only newbie player out there. I hope one day they add team play so we can all play on the same teams. Right now I will take what I can get. I hope your game arrives swiftly and with out problems. I actually put my order in on the net on New Years Eve i think, knowing it didnt have a chance till tuesday. I was just charged today so that may take a day or two. I see your point and I think that could be a bad stigma on a game but they also are saying that its a great game that just isnt out in mass and its not due to the web only policy of BTS. I think as time goes by the sales will stay steady due to the excellent word of mouth this game is going to get. That part is up to us to do and I will do my part. I dont even own the whole game yet and have sent the word out. But it would be nice if they put that a different way so it wouldnt sound negative to some. Maybe Games that deserve more press. LOL I dont know I am not a marketing person. But I think they did help it with their reviews, without their review I would have never known about it. Thats how I found the website. gossamer, WOW this sounds familiar. If you will notice I am the person they linked you to as far as past questions. I bugged them for about 2 days asking questions while playing the demo. I must say that after playing the Demo I have no doubt that when my copy comes in I will be classified as a missing person. I had a blast. Dont just play one side or play one game. Play a few. It took me some time to fall in love, a whole one game. But I played a few more times just to make sure. I like you work hard for my limited funds and didnt want to waste them. I must say that I am very very excited and cannot wait for the to take my money so I can get their game. Great stories, keep em comming. I might just survive work today. I also think that sometimes the fans of a certain product or time period are so into that topic that they become to picky and want too much of what they feel should be there. In the end I think that can sometimes hurt a certain type of game or type of movie because they know they cannot please their fans and it doesnt appeal to the masses. I dont think this is the case in the Pvt.Ryan movie but I think it is the case with some games. The best companies will still take the projects on and strive for the best, the others will just avoid it all together. I a way this is good that it weeds out the ones not truely dedicated. Man you guys are scaring me. I just placed an order today. The only good part is that I live in the Eastern Part of the United States so maybe I will get mine pretty quick. I am hoping by the middle of next week. Its good to hear that their game is doing so good.
