It's in!

I am hosting at least the first extravaganza for PeterNZ and frelancal.

Well now they have their permanent home, so as I'm sure most know, you can findtheir work at:

Edited to point to the new home...

I was happy to start them out, though.... as that meant I had the movie first biggrin.gif.

Hmm... Lots of layers to this sucker... Quick time says that some sound is layer 3 (mp3), and another sound layer is MACE (never heard of that one). Worked fine for me with Quicktime player 4 for Windows. I don't have much that I have specifically installed on htis machine.... but I did install the latest MS Media player (that has codecs for about a thousand formats). You might make sure that you have a current version of Quicktime and let the quicktime player play .movs.

It does have a lot of layers

I'd like to crunch it into just two, sound and movie tracks, but I dunno how. If some whiz can do so, and it makes the file smaller, just drop me a line. ta.

have downloaded the latest windows player. will try it as soon as i reboot. if that doesn't work I will have to download QT4 or get a mac. wink.gif

Teutonic

Ps. Compassion like that burning bridges mp3

ugghh again this time the new media player says invalid file format. I will try and download again and see if that helps. It is late and I am going to get some much needed rest tho.

I had to open WS-FTP and manually type the name of the file. The 'brave new world' of file names with embedded spaces can mess up a lot of programs - I suggest that your next effort use the tried-and-true '_' in place of spaces.

Thanks for all the compliments guys! Glad you all loved the movie. Yup we're doing a second one, working on the premise and so on as we speak.

Hoping the file size wasn't tooooo oppressive! O, will be more carefull on naming in the future :>

It was made with SnagIt on the mac to do vid cap, (I think, ask Freelancal for more info), and edited with a full version of Quick Time 4.

Will keep eveyone posted with info on the web site when it is completed.

*sniff sniff* no news from BTS on whether they like the movie! *cry*

Looks great guys. Now all you have to do is add some film graininess and scratches and you'll have the real thing.

Oh and one little hair dangling from the top of the frame.

I see an Oscar for Best Documentary in a Computer wargame simulation in your future.

The game isn't even out and there are already a bunch of folks doing great fan support!

I gotta get crackin' on the FAQ. Got around 100 questions in the hopper and ready for posting.

Geez! No offense soldiers, but if you haven't downloaded QuickTime 4.x yet, WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?

QuickTime will play alot of file types. I have a PC and have been using QuickTime for many years now.

Join the 20th...whoops...I mean 21st Century. smile.gifwink.gif
