The Peng Thread...is it worth reading?

Recommended Posts

This has become a recurrent theme. Every week or two someone will post a "Is the peng thread worth reading?" topic.

If you really want to know, you should read it yourself, but start with the original peng thread.

The Peng thread is a great place to find lively opponents if you can handle the abuse. More squeak than nibble, but those hamster teeth can be pretty sharp sometimes.

What you see here isn't the Peng Thread, it's the Son Of Peng Thread. The original is worth reading, but you've got to find it first.

Guderian's anger was monumental. He struggled for words. "To say that the troops are to blame – look at the casualties!" he raged. "Look at the losses! The troops did their duty! Their self-sacrifice proves it!" Hitler yelled back. "They failed!" he raged. "They failed."

Now I think it is good to compare my opinion with other guys...so poll here if the Peng thread is worth reading...maybe it would help to clarify opinions.

Is Broccoli worth eating? Can we have a poll here please.

While we are at it, is Grunge worth listening to?

Is the VW Beetle (new) a cool car?

You get my point?

Don't bother with the Peng Thread.

They are filthy buggers and some of them go to extremes (as far as being French, eeek!).

Hiram is very kind, and we all know you are a bit slow. Actually I am quite surprised you are not into Grunge.

The Peng Thread isn't for you. It is not a work to be read, but to be contributed to. If your goal is some light reading, may I suggest Moby Dick before attempting the annals (anals?) of Peng which reads like a child's storybook on a bad acid trip.

Not as much as War and Peace... that was a footnote compared to what Senoochie or Pengkomon can spew...

I'd like to answer that question in two ways: first, in my normal voice; and second in an annoying, high-pitched whine...
