John Kettler
Thought some of you might appreciate seeing this look at wooden ruins of a Russian Orthodox church or cathedral. Found it on Tumblr. Regards, John Kettler

Sgt.Squarehead
If you Google 'Russian Wooden Churches' you will find whole sites dedicated to these buildings.....The internet's a bit like that.
Wicky
Or for movies featuring dilapidated Russian architecture watch Transsiberian (2008), Doctor Zhivago (1965) or Child 44 (2015).
John Kettler
Had never seen its like, the onion dome internal structure was something I'd never seen as other than a drawing, and I found the color and tonal variations so striking I thought the Mods who do skins might be interested. Erwin
Had to find an internet access while on travels to assure you that is not a ruined church but a super high end house project done by billionnaire Abromovich in the style of a ruined Russian church in the posh Ambassadors Row/Princes Gate area of London. It's very controversial architecture for the area and the neighbors are furious. Can't you tell how carefully the "ruined" cupolas are artistically nestled against each other?
Aragorn2002
I don't go to church myself, but abandoned or ruined churches always make me feel somewhat sad. But I guess that happens because people like me don't visit them anymore.
