Aragorn2002
Although I do not speak Finnish, this documentary and especially the modesty with which these veterans tell their story made quite an impression upon me. Let's hope one day we will see a module with the Finns for CM.
Warts 'n' all
Perhaps in Red Thunder, although I suspect it is not high on the priority list.

Perhaps not, but I'm pretty sure some guys at BF want them too. Watch that Panzerschreck at 5.23. First time I can't see whether it is real or reenactment. Probably reenactment, but well done.
Erwin
A distant relative was a Finnish major. I was at his country house and he showed me his attic - it was an arsenal of weapons and explosives. So close to the Russian border, they had to be ready to go at a moment's notice. The Finns are like our spec ops trained in winter combat.
Aragorn2002
I don't think many Finns believe in all that pacifist nonsense. If you want peace, prepare for war.
rocketman
Thank you for this and you are right about their modesty. A relative of mine, her father fought for the Finns so this was of special interest for me. There are subtitles in Swedish, so those who know Swedish I highly recommend this.
nik mond
Coincidentally I am reading just now "The Unknown Soldier" by Väinö Linna. I too am thinking the Finns would make a great inclusion to a Red Thunder module, the Continuation War would be a nice fit.

Edit: they seem to have changed the title from "The Unknown Soldier" to "Unknown Soldiers". Edited August 15, 2016 by Aragorn2002
rocketman
As far as I know it is the classic depiction of the Winter War. Might give it a read myself. Edited August 15, 2016 by rocketman

Unknown soldier is 1941-1944 "Continuation War" depiction. Two movies: 1955 and 1985 versions have been made and third is should to be ready in 2017. English translation of the book is unfortunately quite poorly made. There is another classic simply named "The Winter War" with book, movie and miniseries:
Bulletpoint
I would also like to see an expansion about the Winter War. Not because I know a lot about it, quite the contrary. I know very little. That's part of why it would be interesting to me. I like to play computer games that take place in historical times and places that I know little about, and then use that experience to read up on it and find out more. But maybe I'm in the minority about that. Maybe most people prefer to play games set in situations they are familiar with.
