Alexey K
Is there any way to turn off background battle sound while leaving all other sounds as they are?
Kuderian
Yes. Download these sound files and you will just have the sounds of birds chirping with no distant gunfire noise. And thanks to the original modder who created these. Edited February 8, 2015 by Kuderian
kendar
or use this one : http://community.battlefront.com/topic/117604-quiet-background-sound/?p=1581190 made for CMBN, but should work in every CMx2 game. Splinty
Dropping the mod into a z folder in Data doesn't work anymore. The new path is: My Documents>Battlefront>Black Sea>User Data>Mods> create a new folder named z in the Mods folder and drop all your mods including sound mods into the z folder.
czarejs
Splinty, are you sure about that? I was unaware of that path you gave and just dropped a mod into a z folder in Data and it did work.
Harry Speakup
The Data\Z folder still works fine for mods. I've been playing about with ambient wavs in and out of it for days.
Blueonblack83
It does indeed work fine. I have just used the explosion effects mod today using the Z folder.
Sgt Joch
yes, either way works. To clarify what Splinty posted, you do not need a "Z" folder if using the MODS folder.

nik mond
Here's a background day combat.wav file. These ambient battle sounds are more distant. Its more subdued yet gives you something to listen to before the battle starts or when things go quiet. http://cmmods.greenasjade.net/mods/5465/details
