ScoutPL
Anyone else had three rifle platoons practically decimated by a rocket barrage in the first minute of a QB against the AI? Hopefully that sort of demoralizing occurrence will be EXTREMELY rare.
MikeyD
I just got my only QB Tiger I on the map holed by an unseen enemy. As the old saying goes, QB war is hell.
Childress
Anyone else had three rifle platoons practically decimated by a rocket barrage in the first minute of a QB against the AI? Easy solution, Scout. Simply make a gentleman's agreement with the AI beforehand. No first turn barrages!
db_zero
Sounds par for the course in the Eastern Front-a real meat grinder. I have a couple of h2h games going and I'm having to adjust. I'm so used to playing the Western Front and moving Allied or German pixeltroops around. At least Mother Russia has an endless supply of men and tanks so its all good I guess.

bodkin
Problem is if you let the cpu choose its own equipment it buys a ton of off map arty which it uses up all at once on turn one. Often the rounds will land in your setup zone.
Macisle
The flipside is that if you hug the friendly map edge and hide all your infantry until the AI's starting barrage ends, you're likely fairly free of arty for the rest of the battle.
