weapon2010
I've watched this alot and its not another guy's grenade. If you pause it a few times you can see he grabs his own grenade and just bumbles the throw and it lands right next to him.Poor guy. weapon2010
After further review he does not bumble his own throw but gets shot as he is pulling his grenade out causing the bumbled throw. Fascinating none the less at the level of detail in the game. I dont think that was simulated in ASL.
womble
As I thought. He's shot, and therefore drops his grenade and it detonates right next to him. I've seen this happen.
sburke
Yeah I just saw a similar event and muttered at the time, too bad some of your buddies weren't hanging a little closer You really do gotta love that stuff.

I've seen it too, a number of times. One more reason ya gotta love this game!
WriterJWA
Where was the NCO at kicking them in the rear yelling, "Spread out! One grenade will get you all!" I don't think that was coded in....... hmmmm.
gunnergoz
In one game I saw a German kill himself and his buddy nearby with a dropped potato masher after he'd been hit while standing up to throw it.
Boche
I saw an MG team member drop a grenade, knocking out the MG and killing all the crew xD
MikeyD
This remind me of how Woody Harrelson bought the farm in the movie "The Thin Red Line" back in 1998. And a young Robert Blake messed himself up pretty good with his own hand grenade in "Porkchop Hill" in 1959. Not to mention those countless Germans in those countless WWII films who get shot just as they're about the throw their potato masher grenade. But they don't count because they were just extras. (EDIT) And one last thing. In those war movies whenever the Germans drop their own grenade and it explodes they're invariable vaulted over their sandbag wall, almost as though they had jumped on a trampoline!

And if you provided potato mashers at a kids party instead of a trampoline, you'd be arrested. It's political correctness gone mad, I tell you.... Michael Emrys
And if you provided potato mashers at a kids party instead of a trampoline, you'd be arrested. It's political correctness gone mad, I tell you... Hear, hear! Blowing oneself up is an essential part of childhood. Like running out into traffic, for instance. I'm still not sure how the sniper in Saving Private Ryan manages to destroy the sandbag wall when he shoots the MG42 gunner on the beach. It's as though the gunner was holding all the sandbags together by himself.
