Sie Kommen II Axis Campaign - Released

Recommended Posts

Can we get a breakdown on the story of the campaign? who are we controlling and what are we up against?

It is the same situation as the Allied Campaign in which the Allies have landed on Waldam Beach just east of Pas D' Calais on July 4, 1944.

Units from the 352nd Infantry Division are stationed in the area of Pas D' Calais. The campaign's core units are the 352. Fusilier Battalion and 2. Battalion 116. Infantry Regiment.

This story will cover the first 30 days of the invasion campaign, from the Allied drive inland from Waldam beach, to the final defense near the town of Saint-Martin-au-Laet and all the fighting in between.

There is 11 Total Scenarios which consist of meeting engagements, axis attacks, and allied attacks. The scenario's range in length from 30 to 70 minutes. Most are Company (+) in size. All scenarios have multiple AI plans.

Also included is an Axis Campaign Handbook that describes the dirrect missions, the units involved, and a campaign flow chart.

Loving the campaign so far. One question though... I am in the setup phase of the "Counterattack" mission. The briefing says there are 2 TRP's, but I don't see any. Is that a mistake in the mission text or is my game messed up somehow?
According to the .btt file that is in the campaign folder and thus imported into the campaign, there are two TRP's for the Axis... Check in the woods to the Northeast and Northwest of the RR Bridge on the far side of the river... they should be there..

Thanks for checking. I really don't see them anywhere on the map. Here's a few links to screenshots of what I see during the setup phase:

There are a few units outside of the setup zone, but besides those there doesn't appear to be anything near or across the river. I know I saw TRP's in an earlier mission with no issue.

As my screenshots show, I have nothing in those locations.

I tried starting a new campaign and just hitting cease fire immediately on each mission up to Counterattack just to see if my saves were messed up and there were still no TRP's.

(The .cam file I have is dated 11/26/2011 2:32:24AM. I downloaded it from thefewgoodmen.com)

I guess I will just soldier on without them. I don't mind a challenge.

I went back and checked every file that has to do with Counter Attack on my system and they all have 2 TRP's... The script file has

[bATTLE NAME] counterattack

[WIN THRESHOLD] draw

[NEXT BATTLE IF WIN] canalbridges //

[NEXT BATTLE IF LOSE] lakeland //

[bLUE REFIT %] 100

[bLUE REPAIR VEHICLE %] 100

[bLUE REST %] 90

[RED REFIT %] 100

[RED REPAIR VEHICLE %] 100

[RED RESUPPLY %] 90

[RED REST %] 100

I cannot for the life of me think that would eleminate the TRP's....

Thanks for checking. I really don't see them anywhere on the map....

I'm really enjoying this campaign, in a kind of masochistic way! I'm getting my ass badly whacked :)

I too couldn't see the TRPs in Counterattack....until the review screen (I got a Tactical Victory!). Then they appeared on the German side of the map. Could it be that these are Allied TRPs?

Anyway...great work Fredrock and the Canal is next on the menu of pain!

Same here. I finished with a tactical victory. Then, on the review screen there were 2 TRPs on the German side of the map. I assume they were Allied TRPs. There was no sign of any others. Definitely something wrong with the German TRPs.
