...and Foundation topic was hijacked to become Dune topic Speaking of Asimov. I tried to approach Foundation several times back in my youth, because I liked Asimov's short stories and this saga was present in all must read sci-fi lists, but every time I found it too boring to read through more than 100 pages. Dune success - as every literary success - remains some sort of mystery, especially after the novel was declined by publishers dozens of times (reminds of Harry Potter:). Usually it explained as the effect of mixing sci-fi and fantasy themes, which had never been done before. It's kind of prince returning home tale in a weird science fiction setting. I thought it was based on Soviet invasion in Afghanistan before I found out it was written in 60s.

Nobody knows how "real events" should look like, so there is no metrics to evaluate CM "realism". Cold War going hot, US against Russia in Ukraine - never happened. WW2 titles are based on much more sound data. But even those things - like Tiger or T34 performance - are still subject for fierce debates. In short, every computer game, doesn't matter how good it is, is never "reality itself", but only some kind of effort to portray it as it is seen by those who make the simulation.

Lynch is one of the greatest directors ever lived, but he really made a flop out of Dune. Maybe there is a reason why he officially de-owned this movie and his name is absent in the titles. My favorite Dune adaptation so far:

It seems there is no way to add AT-4 ATGM in the editor. In "Specialists teams" tab choosing "ATGM Team" results in addition of AT-7. The only walkaround is to purchase large formation and then "clean" it from everything except AT-4. I think the option to add AT-4 separately should be added.

Yeah, it's more vulnerable and expandable then I thought as well. Now imagine what artillery fire could do to those systems. But it's extremly unlikely that AVFs would be under artillery fire nowdays. So military planning focused on local challenges and threats, mainly presented by RPGs or ATGMs.

That's really interesting. Basically it is saying that debris from destroyed projectiles will damage APS system after about 4 intercepts max, and thats why you don't need more then 4 reloads anyway.

Just be aware - there are like 6 enemy t-64s plus a lot of BMPs!
