You are most kind, I can only hope the committee agree with you.
I would however like to check whether we are playing under Tudor Court Rules or some similar variant?

@Vacilllator You've left it a tad late but you're welcome. Obviously "It's" is not the name of a wild animal. So you might want to try again.
Indeed I have it seems, it's often the way for me with parties. It's a Puma, thought I was good to go without saying it. Where can I find the full Mornington Crescent ruleset?

Call that a castle Julian? This is a castle:
Not sure whether you can stay there for a weekend of games however, and it looks like you had a great time anyway .

@CombatintmanIn the game at the moment but in the editor would be interesting too.
@BulletpointThat sounds easy, my attempts have obviously been poorly executed . For b however sounds like it must be at the end point of the transport's move, so perhaps I was getting a little too ambitious in wanting the loaded transport to start moving again in the same turn? Anyway, if at first you don't succeed... Thanks, will try again.

Apologies if this has been discussed before but I couldn't find it.
Is there a foolproof way in one turn to get:
a) a transport to arrive at a set location and drop off their passengers, which then move into cover or whatever else they may be ordered to do? My attempts at ordering a dismount based on the last waypoint for the transport didn't seem to work as the orders were for two seperate units.
b) get passengers to meet a moving (but I suppose paused for disembarkation) transport and hop on board, after which the transport continues on its way?
I imagine pauses can do some of this but if you don't know exactly where everyone is going to be it gets a bit tricky.

Can anyone join this party? I didn't get the invite so might get kicked out but here goes:
It's in Normandy and I would argue it's in a street?

I’m loathe to release lots of small packs as I don’t want to get into too many versions floating around confusing folks.
Understood and perfectly sensible.
Talking of crops, while walking the dogs yesterday in beautiful Somerset I was reminded of your excellent work while having to force my way through a field of 8 foot high maize (yes, grown right over the footpath). I wondered whether tall crops like maize, sunflowers etc. have been or will be included in any CM games? Don't think I've seen any but I only have BN and RT so far - they would of course not be out of place in either of those...

You are correct. I had a beer and think correctly.
0,0001% is same as multiplying something with 0,000001. But 780.000 sounds better
Agreed beer is the answer my friend. Or wine. Anyway what matters is that we have fun with the game and BFC makes a living

Very nice indeed. I'm still using the version 1 you posted a while ago, is there something more that I could be getting my teeth into (beta 2 was mentioned)?
Tell me not to be greedy and impatient if you like

100-99,9999=0,0001
0,0001*7.800.000.000 = 780.0007.800 just didn't feel right
(lol I ain't no math grog)After some head scratching (I ain't no math grog either) and contemplation of the importance of what was a notional precentage from Steve anyway, I feel obliged to return to the above calculation .
Steve said '99.9999% of the world's population would find Combat Mission "not fun"'
That means 0.0001% would find it fun. 0.0001% of 7.8 billion is 7800. The % makes all the difference, well 2 zeros difference to be precise.
@Lethaface I think your version misses the % as it calculates the number out of 100 and then mulitiplies by the 7.8 billion?
Of course being a notional figure it matters not, so apologies to those who may have fallen into a deep sleep whilst reading this.

(lol I ain't no math grog)Okay perhaps the % skewed the result. Steve will be happier .

Is it just me or did the forums just change? The layout looks different and the ability to edit a post seems to have dropped to less than a minute after posting or something.
Yes there was an 'update' and the board was down for a short while. Not sure what it did though...
Ahh, thanks akd - the ubiqitous 3 dots arrives at the forum, plus a few visual changes.

@Lucky_Strike Have to add to the above comments that this is great work. Thanks and looking forward to further developments .
I saw the comment on eyesight during lockdown and sympathise. In my case I think sitting at the kitchen table in front of a laptop every day for months has not helped .

Thanks everyone. Have been away in deepest darkest Devon for a week on a campsite with no electric (). As I have an Nvidia card I tried the Nvidia game overlay (not Shadowplay but came with the card nevertheless).
Here's an attempt in RT with Winter Mod on (but not on the panzers however):
Caption of course would have been "Hauptsturmfuhrer, I don't like this yellow snow."
Anyway it's a start, might need to see if I can tweak settings or use movie mode, whatever that is .

Haha, yes indeed.
Thanks for the effort from you and Ithikial on this, very entertaining.
Also thanks for the open discussion of issues, which I'm sure will be resolved before we get our grubby hands on F&R.

I hope you're wrong about that Steve as it means only 7800 people might buy CM games, unless of course they are torturing themselves with things they don't find fun . You do of course have certain corporate customers who may not be allowed to admit to having fun.
More seriously (but not much more), I'm happy to be one of the 0.0001% that finds CM fun. But as a fairly recent arrival it's more than just fun for me at the moment, more of an obsession...

Bit of a late reply here, and hope you got it sorted already, but just a thought, have you got the other expansions metioned in the notes for the battle pack, copied below?
Battle Pack 1 for CMBN requires all three previous expansions (Commonwealth Forces, Market Garden, and Vehicle Pack) for full functionality of the content.

Hi @Grey Fox, thanks (and welcome? ). Will give it a try.

I do have Nvidia so can do, thanks.

You will need some kind of screen capture, or video software. Hopefully the forumites who know about these things and have their own favourites will be along to help you shortly.
Thanks, thought so but it's been many years since I used anything like Fraps - PrintScreen always worked in recent times. Anyway, will wait for more advice from the said forumites.

I've searched with no success, so...
When I try to take a screenshot via Print Screen (Win 10) all I get is the game loading screen. How do I capture the wonder of what is actually on my screen? Do I need to use something like FRAPS?

I got Silent Victory, D-Day at Peleliu and The Doolittle Raid. Only opened Silent Victory - my wife have given a green light to open that one and that one alone as a reward to me for cleaning up the garage. There are two more day -long things I will do around the house and for each I get to open another game. Fun, useful arrangement, haha. Also makes the whole arrival more valuable due to accumulated positive tension.
There's nothing quite like opening a wargame box and sifting through the contents. Even if you have to earn it first, but as you say it can be enhanced by having to wait. Enjoy it and let us know how you get on with the games

Received my first 3 ordered titles today. A happy day.
Which ones were the first 3? I may have lost the plot in all of the posts . Initial thoughts on what you got?

My last edit disappeared, so... the paper was posted by GeorgeMC on the CMRT board in 2019.

Congratulations indeed. And you only got to No.8, while I didn't even get to risk a dodgy No.2 (so to speak).
