Thanks John. Agreed trawling thorugh the list of 'forgotten' films was a little odd, having watched several of them many times (Cross of Iron for example). Anyway the photos were great, as were the following Kursk photos, although they're a bit better known than the Canadian photos.

Did it melt?
Well the first time I loaded up a QB with snow was just to check it was there. However I liked the modded snow, with whistling wind, so much I am now playing a QB on a huge map with it on. It doesn't melt but my panzers seem to bog a lot. All have managed to free themselves so far...

Vacillator, you certain you don't have a helmet mod? There are no textures of any sort in the original brz's for snow--ground, vehicles, uniforms, or helmets. There are several mods for snow on those items, though.
I wondered about that and didn't think I had, but on checking just now I have a folder in Z called 'Mod1' and inside it has lots of Winter mod stuff. Thanks for clearing that one up!

also ground can choose snow, but the ground texture missed ,just waiting for the dlc to let the ground become white.
Having the mod presumably explains why I actually got deep white snow on the ground as well?

Is there snow in red thunder all ready? Did a quick battle the other night and saw the option for snow...
I can confirm that it's there, just tried it to make sure. I had deep snow on the ground and heavy snow falling, even though it was June . Rather nicely some of the troops even had whitewashed helmets.

Loving the video, but this is big news?

You know how I found out about this series? Searching on google for a Star Wars Battlefront review video and clicking on the wrong link.
Agreed . I got introduced via Google looking for pictures of a Jagdpanther for a signature on another website. Any way that works I suppose .

I am running CM on my Mac and I don't see a version for it is there one coming or is it included in the newest Big bundle download CMBN
I'm on PC but I think all of the CM2 stuff (if not earlier) and patches included, has Mac versions. For example the CMBN big bundle patch has the Mac version as the first download file. Hope I'm helping here...

Avalon Hill's Advanced Squad Leader was the last board game I played, quite a while ago. Excellent game but rather heavy on the rules (there was a massive folder full of them). I used 1/300th scale metal tanks on the boards, looked good. Of course there is no Avalon Hill any more... A very good attempt at converting most of it to PC has been made by Peter Fisla, called Tigers on the Hunt. It's like a board game on your PC, and you don't need to consult the rule book every 5 minutes. But you said you don't want PC games . If you did, I'd recommend Combat Mission.

Find myself playing a scenario as the defender where I was expecting "some tanks". Turned out to be the entire 7th Armoured Division by the look of it but hey-ho. We like the challenge.
@John 1966 this is Holy Ground right, as per the other posts we exchanged? I put my Stugs behind the walled farm as well, but a lot of the Cromwells never made it that far thanks to my stalwart infantry, so I didn't have the same issue. And at the end I was able to manueouver the Stugs across to the other flank and take out the last two pieces of pesky Allied armour. Great stuff and kudos to the scenario designer CW (I would link but not sure which user to link to)!

Got a bit of success with the Stugs and the same with the ATGs but less so. Was running out of infantry AT ammo by the end so I was glad to still have the Stugs hanging around - they actually finished the battle for me.
Just thought, I didn't comment on the subject of the original post. I didn't notice blocked doors in the towers or other buildings. Perhaps I was lucky to chose the direction or time so that it didn't matter.

I just played this and it was not my idea of a fair fight. "Some tanks", indeed.
Bizarrely ended up with a tactical victory. Not sure how. Must have been the target rich environment. The infantry claimed eight Cromwells (and assorted other things with rivets). Unfortunately the big guns only claimed one.
Played it recently myself. Starting off thinking it was not an easy fight. It wasn't. However, getting meagre resources into place and dealing out sufficient damage was a great experience. Infantry AT weapons saved my day to be sure

I would have thought BFC will have looked at the numbers/value of sales for WW2 and modern titles and will be roughly guided by that (including MoD type customers of course). I'd love to see the figures but not sure they will want to disclose...
Anyway you can probably guess what my preference would be (already registered in the poll), but I may dabble my toes in the modern stuff at some point...
As a fairly new arrival I am of course already presented with more content than I can shake a stick at .

Just thought I'd pop back and confirm that I have now witnessed medic / buddy aid behaviour. Probably it was happpening all along, because for some strange reason I was looking at the icons in the middle panel expecting one or more to display 'medic' when actually it appears in the status text for the individual troops at the bottom left of the screen. For example a radio man suddenly went from 'spotting' to 'medic'. So it seems my observation was to blame .

I see 5 Germans I think, but they are either sleeping or in a state where they no longer care.

Excellent video 37mm! I can't believe after all this time I never played Monster Mash. Thanks for the inspiration!
Totally agree, and it's a great scenario. Played it in the demo and that persuaded me to buy CMRT - my first CM but already not my last.

I know, I know, wrong Elvis. But still, it is my humble yet (I'm sure you'll agree) expert opinion that you are the perfect voice of, and face for, BFC. Seriously! You have great communication skills dealing this somewhat, at times, hinky crowd.
Just a shout out appropo of nothing, except maybe this alcoholic beverage I'm holding.
+1 from me, both to Elvis and the beverage

I personally haven't used Windows Defender on a Windows 10 computer in quite awhile, but that is the closest I can come to guessing the culprit in the issue that you've experienced
FWIW I'm using Defender (or at least whatever the Microsoft protection is called these days) here with no problems...

Erwin, I honestly feel your pain. However, I installed RT and BN Bundle on a fairly new Win10 'gaming' laptop (Asus GL702VM) recently and have not had any issues. Luck, possibly. Types of hardware involved, possibly. Anyway, I know this isn't helping you and I hope you get sorted somehow!

I think that Dartford Mick and the Tax Dodgers had something to say about staying in the shadows. Although they were probably talking about Kentish heathland, rather than Norman bocage.
@Warts 'n' all Strangely I know more about Normandy than I do about Kent, and have been there more often too. History drives geography eh?
Actually looking at the title of my post again, it could be misconstrued out of the right context

I would agree with all of that, so I think hide under/in the trees, but don't obsess about being in shadows. It looks good and feels right however
