  1. Just look at the French sales of Exocet and all the ungodly things they were jerry-rigged to.. doesn't necessarily mean much in terms of platforms.
  2. Any idea what will replace the Polish IFV fleet in the future? Tanks seem to be more than covered already... EDIT: answered myself in my above post: "1400 Borsuk IFV"
  3. https://poland.postsen.com/news/46357/Poland-will-buy-1000-Korean-tanks-including-820-K2PL-A-tank-factory-will-also-be-built-in-Poland--HISTORIAorgpl.html seems Poland is keen on not letting a certain historical event to repeat itself.
  4. The west has the escalation dominance. We just don't realize it. Only card Russia has is MAD(Mutually Assured Destruction). And they cannot play that card.
  5. Would be a lot easier if bridges were made out of TNT like ammo dumps
  6. Even a controlled detonation of a bridge takes tons and tons of explosives. One GMLRS rocket has around 100kg warhead. I believe UKR cannot demolish it but they can keep it out of action for significant amount of time. Cut a section and keep hitting the repair and bridging equipment. This would have to be followed up by Kherson strategic offensive to make sense I believe.
  7. Going to take a lot of hits. Also going to be easy and fast to repair partial collapse with bridging equipment. Thanh Hóa Bridge as historical reference.
  8. Very interesting. What other likely reasons Ukraine would have to hit the bridges other than Strategic Kherson counter attack being imminent? Before the said counter attack I would expect surge in deeps strikes, bridges going out, partisan activity exploding. If any of these are done piecemeal or prematurely Russia would adjust and maximum effect lost.
  9. Options for UKR MBTs: T-72 stockpiles in NATO countries (or purchased around the world) This is probably enough for this war. Leo1(upgraded). Good enough and comparable to most tanks used in the war by both sides. Most importantly has enough availability in the west. Abrams. USA would have to equip whole armored formations in this case with pioneering equipment ext. Very slow, expensive and "escalatory" option. Only available modern tank.
  10. https://nadinbrzezinski.medium.com/logistics-collapse-945984f5d48e record amount of completely opposite but plausible analysis coming out of all tubes. I guess smart ones just say "it is contingent", like Koffman...
  11. Why Giving Ukraine F-16s Makes Sense https://podcast.silverado.org/episodes/analysis-of-the-war-in-ukraine-july-17-2022 F16 is very doable (if stated 6month ago we would be very close already) Escalation risks are being proven false. Now to a level without doubt long terms supply must be started. Aid so far is very short term. Nobody can efficiently manage a zoo of equipment long term
  12. same here. must be slitherine server problem. sure just matter of time
  13. I have been expecting this. Not confirmed yet.
  14. When you take in to account how hard it was for the Israelis to solve the rocket interception problem I don't think Russia can solve it no matter what. Maybe, maybe they can protect point targets with significant resources from small salvos but that is it.
  15. Oversized squads are a thing in wartime. People are unavailable for number of reasons, illness, wounded, dead, leave... If by some miracle the whole unit is so full strength there is no room for everyone I am sure there are options. Like some stay back at base and reinforce the losses after that op.
  16. This could mean bye-bye for most Russian military airfields, black sea fleet in harbor and Kerch Strait bridge.
  17. How about PBEM++ ? Can one save and continue later? I haven't dared to test with my ongoing matches.
  18. I am once again surprised how realistic the CM AI is...
  19. I am not sure if one can save and continue later. But I do know for even a change of this working you need to be logged in to PBEM++. Meaning visit the PBEM++ menu before playing the turn
  20. You are looking at the tournament signup menu. There was a test tournament named do not touch. It is little confusing because the menus look identical (other than one line of text). Also parting from the regular PBEM++ at the moment at least you cannot see the other players turns. So after completion the "disappear". Doesn't matter. Putting a password to the other one doesn't do any harm.
