  1. Extremely unlucky shot (from russian POV) .. Anywhere else and its toast. Did it fire a heat round ? US ERA shouldnt stop a sabot and where the ERA is installed the armor behind it is too thin to resist a svinets-2 at point blank (easily 830mm + penetration ability). That point blank shot should be a kill on side hull 99% of the time with the round exiting on the other side. We just had a screenshot of an M1 double kill by a T-90 earlier on from about the same angle.
  2. Agusto :dont use the impact angle tactic with the Abrams . Maximum frontal turret armor LOS on the Abrams turret is from a narrow angle from the front. It you hit the frontal turret at an angle you hit it at 90 degrees and it is easier to penetrate (less LOS thickness). Not good for the Abrams. I've seen full penetrations of the thick left and right side front turret because of that.
  3. well, hello there ! This is going to hurt ! Bad day at the office... Furious Fight ! Comrade Badasski !
  4. Slysniper: Able to punch through an m1A2's frontal armor RELIABLY at 2000 meters. Current russian gun and ammo in the game can already achieve that under certain conditions (30-40% of the time, odds are better the closer you get). Lets get back to a more technical and neutral subject please.
  5. From what i'm seeing in the game, Russia needs the Kurganets IFV more than the Armata T-14.
  6. Problems with accuracy, flying overhead and very low accuracy seems to happen when the target is Hull down.
  7. Lucky 1 in a thousand shot ... Nope arena very rarely defeat javelin.. A javelin once hit the front turret too and failed to penetrate . your jav is heading for thé front Hull even if diving it was briefly in arena's engagement enveloppe and it was enough
  8. missiles dont often hit the side turret.. the tanks being hull down means that's what you are aiming at. When not hull down, i've very rarely seen missles hit the side of an M1A2 turret. It almost always hit the side hull where the double ERA is, greatly reducing their effectiveness. I fired maybe hundreds of missiles in test because I did notice that tendency. When hull down with only the turret side being exposed they did miss 90% of the time. Seems to be an issue. If I was the missile gunner, I would put the reticle (SACLOS) on the side turret, especially now that the single ERA on the side turret of the M1A2 has greatly reduced effectiveness against tandem charges in 1.03. Doesnt seem to happen even at minimum range (80 meters).
  9. I'm 7000km from british Columbia.. No way i can harm anglos unless I use that new supersonic Russian transport plane;) Now i'll go back to read mein kampft
  10. That would make the Hull incredibly well protected
  11. There arent that many available . keep some for unexpected pesky targets
  12. My opponent thought he could M1 me to death Sometimes luck plays a role but you need to make the odds work in your favor. You need specific conditions for the Russians to be dominant but they can be ! But before the patch I would have had a much harder time with Relikt bugged and all.
  13. A company of M1A2s (14 tanks, including 5 with APS) frontal attack over 3.5-4km of open steppe terrain.. 3 krizanthemas hull-down on a hill... they kill 6 M1A2s.. damage another and the crew bails out.. 7 are left... The Kriz lose two (Ihad to move them a little and they got detected) and the remaining retreats downhill because no more ammo (but 4 kills). 20 T-90AMs who were waiting at the bottom of the hill get into hull down positions.. 7 were hit over the course of the battle by M829A4s where there is relikt coverage .. only one penetrated. A T-90AM survived two hits on the frontal upper hull because of relikt. It is very effective at 3.5km (6 out of 7 rounds stopped). I lost three T-90AM (two weapons mount penetrations and a relikt fail). They killed the remaining M1A2s. When lased they had time to back off and get out of harm's way ... Two had their 7.62mm mount destroyed by sabot rounds (close call). Shoot and scoot. The russians were typical (some green crews, many regulars, and 1-2 veteran). The US were also typical ( a few crack, many veterans and a few regulars). Total tally for that US frontal attack long range slugfest at 3.5km... 13 US tanks destroyed, one mission kill and abandoned and 1 Bradley for 2 Kriz and 3 T-90AMs destroyed. The T-90AMs won 7-3 at that range against the M1s. The russians were definitely broken before patch 1.03. Now they are nasty. Who needs the Armata ? They just upgrade the 900 T-90As to the AM standard (like they said they would do, read that on a russian site) and they should be okay.
  14. And the infantry commander manning the panoramic sight now communicates the info to the gunner instantly.. Greatly improving spotting and engaging times. A BMP-2m or BMP-3 lying in ambush against moving Bradleys or M1s will now usually get the jump on them
  15. I confirm. Bmp-2M becomes a vanilla bmp+-2 when you get closer than 10 meters or less. I reinstalled your mod to no avail.
  16. One thing for sure BMPs are now nasty .. A BMP-2M got 4 bradleys before being killed by a lowly AT-4 in the last turn. The gunner and thé infantry commander survived to receive the praise. All medium to long range cannon kills. Another got 2. It was 8 against 8 . 6-3 for the BMP-2M against the Bradleys. It was usually the contrary before the patch. In another game, BMP-2Ms killed 2 Abrams and heavily damaged/mission killed another two.
  17. So they have one (i did a search). So they should not have any problems .
  18. Well maybe they mean that they never developed a round that could defeat kontakt-5 or Relikt contrary to the americans who did develop one
  19. Backing up if crew is unresponsive.. Which means that the crew's biometrics will be monitored in real time.. Remote control.. Sounds like future warrior stuff
