It would be good to get some more bones for the module. I guess we've had quite a few already, but maybe a few more bits of new stuff?
Oh, and another AAR would be great!

I would have thought a FO would be carrying special kit for locating targets, but no idea of reality.

Why don't u use the 'Target Light' command then? IIRC the Bradley will fire 25mm when that command is given.
From memory they use MG.

Would be great to know where BFC is heading.
Any chance of CM2 on the Mac silicon (not sure what the best term is)?

Maybe not weird, but when I target a Bradley at a building, it launches a Tow, then starts to reload TOW and doesn't fire cannon. Before TOW reloads, which takes an age, often get an RPG that takes it out. Maddening. I would much prefer TOW not to reload, and fire cannon instead (unless targeting a target against which cannon would have no effect, but even then, may prefer cannon if it strips off external systems and shocks crew).

This would make such a different to stock CMBN. Do developers ever adopt a mod and incorporate into the base game?

Right, I'm totally confused. First time I've noticed this and apologies if everyone else already knew.
I've got an FO/HQ trying to call in OFF MAP artillery. I assumed that if they have a LOS, they have a LOS. They had visual contact with the target.
But no "strike cursor" when they try calling in the arty (just the red "no LOS" circle). Fair enough. I assumed it was a quirky thing where they can only see the top of it or something. But they couldn't call in the arty anywhere near it. Frustrating.
But after playing around with it about for a bit I discovered they had the strike cursor with some OFF MAP artillery but not other OFF MAP artillery. I thought it wouldn't make a difference. Why would it make a difference?
For example, apparently no LOS if they tried the calling in the 81mm battery. But the same FO/HQ in the same spot could call in the 120mm battery. (Which means that ATG is getting more HE dropped on it than I wanted).
Why?
Range of off map mortars maybe. I think 81mm can only go so far on big maps (might be restricted for on map only, can't remember)

I'd go for FI too, some really well designed battles and mix of challenging and more straightforward campaigns. Also, lots of variety in geography.

we will have to wait until next summer
but for those who want, I have a well one with bird song, dog bark in the distance and even the sound of a rifle !!!Great,
Comment pourrais-je dire non ?

Yes! Also, birdsong in Normandy in June is very different to what is in the game.

Elder in flower in early June, yes!

Wasn't there reference to a Pacific theatre game a while back ?
Another vote from me for Fulda Gap.

Installed new patch and was playing CMSF2, scénario Dutch Oven. Three of the six two-man scout teams in the fenneks on the left side cannot acquire the panzerfaust, is that normal?

Very interesting. I'm surprised that the BAR significantly outperforms the FG42. I would have thought FG42 would have been much more effective, with the recoil mechanism built into the stock. At longer ranges the sight should be effective too.

Can we view it after it is finished? Caught mention of full battle replay in the works

Seems like a major change in direction. I hope it works out for the company.

Looks good, I like the slight elevation changes too

Some demo scenarios are not included in the full game. Or at least that used to be the case. When you get the full version check scenario names to see if the demo scenario's included or not. It's been so long since I've looked at demos that I don't know what's included an what isn't. You can't simply pull the scenario from the demo and play it in the full game, the demo and full game are treated a separate products.
I had a vague recollection of that too. It would be great if that were changed, as I'd hate to miss out on a good scenario

Wish, looks like a huge campaign, very cool!

If our version of the forum has a poll feature I don't see it in the admin settings. I don't want to be a killjoy and I'd love to see the results of what you come up with but the next few projects are already set in stone. So, it's unlikely to change anything.
Remind me what those are again

Ah! That Marine close combat manual looks just like a CM tutorial!
The longer a unit stays hunkered down at a location the more difficult he is to spot. So get to your overwatch spot early, lay there and hide for a bit until you become part of the scenery, then start observing. It should be mentioned once you start firing your location's going to be known so initial 'stealth' will only get you so far.
These little bits of the engine are great! I didn't realise that the longer the unit is in position the more difficult it is to spot. Makes perfect sense. Cool!
