Not the only scenario, if you breach a wall with a tank gun more often than not the pixeltruppen go through the front door and get shot to pieces.

I have got fairly annoyed with that in the past. Part of the reason is when you have too many people heading for the entrance at the same time, some go round the front. @MikeyD had a tip for that, if you use the assault button, they tend to all go in the same entrance. I haven't tried that yet.

  2. BP 1, A Crossroads Near Brussels.

See linked picture, circled) a type of open shed does not appear passable to infantry.

This one was pretty annoying as they were in the building vbeside the shed and were plotted to move to the back wall just beside it, and all ran out of the front entrance to the compound instead (arrow line), and got gunned down.....

If it isn't passable to troops then the displayed structure needs to be changed quite significantly so it is clear, I think.

  3. From my point of view it would be great to see more variety of vehicles actually used in H2H QBs, if the points system can be tweaked to encourage that, better for everyone, it seems.

Would be interesting to see stats of vehicles actually selected. If preponderance of certain vehicle/s on Axis side, does that not indicate a problem with points value?

From stats earlier in the thread, doesn't seem to be a complete bias towards Allies, as games won seem relatively even?

There shouldn't be any reason the code is different from the other games, in that regard.

A new command suggestion I'd submit for this (knowing there are many ahead of it) would work as follows -

Proposed new order - "Seize" command.

Order is plotted like a Blast command.

    -Unit moves to wall.

-Upon reaching wall side of order, throws (if available) 1 satchel charge OR 2 grenades

    -Short Pause

-Unit Assaults to location of order end (further Target commands could be strung to this, as usual for covering fire)

Interesting. How would that work where there is no wall? I. E. my example of effectively reverse slope. The other issue I guess is how would length of blast order work in this scenario? Presumably need to close to grenade throwing range. So if issue blast order greater than say 30 metres away, troops would run to 30 metres distant (or wall/side of building into which grenades are to be thrown) ?

I find success comes when you leave the initiative to the TacAI. Peel off assault team morale ok experience regular or better, fitness ready or rested. 10 to 15 meters for foxholes or adjacent to buildings. Play against yourself on hotseat difficulty basic training to test and experiment.

Where they can see the enemy I don't really have an issue.

The issue I have is where they don't see the enemy, as in my example, where a slight fold in the ground hides direct line of sight.

I was playing a campaign in FI a few months back (latest version), Operation Encore, scenarios are at night or in forest so enemy troops were often discovered at very close range, often 10 meters or less, my U.S. pixeltruppens whether given an attack order or acting on their own would throw lots of grenades to great effect, so your pixeltruppens will use grenades when the time is right.

Not sure about that. I'm talking more a out yhe common situation where there is no direct line of sight to the assault position, e.g. (small) reverse slope.

I very distinctly remember (an excellent @Bulletpoint scenario - Pierrefitte en Cinglais), a foxhole just over a very small bump. I got slaughtered because smg fired off and almost no grenades. Team then ran up to top of slope and the enemy team were ready and waiting. gunned down, pinned, panic, more casualties. Rinse and repeat....

If they had thrown a few grenades and had the close assault weapon ready to go it would have been a very different outcome.

I still wish we had a specific throw grenades command. It is so frustrating to watch hardly any grenades get chucked while the smg blasts off his magazine, then has near empty mag for the attack. From films, admittedly, but it seems very common practice for grenades to get thrown en masse before a prepared close assault.

My idea would be equivalent to throw smoke command for infantry.

I have been with the company since some of their first games.  I will start by saying this is the sloppiest release I have ever seen. Has anyone at Battlefront actually played this game? I mean really played it. Like read the briefings start to finish? Who proofed the briefings? Certainly not a grown adult. I feel like some of the briefings are [story] being told by a 4th grader. Not the level of excellence we have seen in all previous briefings in games. They are full of grammatical errors and incomplete sentences. I get the impression they were written by a non- English speaker. I teach 4th grade writing and math and I just couldn't shake that I was reading a very novice [writers] writing. Take some pride gentlemen.

I wasn't being nasty at all as a long time customer. I was pointing out a definite quality control issue. For a company that wants their games to reach as a large of an audience as possible (steam), they have to do better.  To say you didn't have enough times to even open up and read the briefings says everything. You should be embarrassed to admit that in a  public forum. To use the excuse that is was rushed is also lame. When the restaurant F's up your meal because they were rushed, I am sure you don't take the same attitude. I could have proofed all those briefings in a single evening. Sorry, not buying it.  I can read 30 students papers in a hour and their grammar and spelling is atrocious. By the way I do enjoy the game. The graphics engine is at the end though. Can't see myself investing in another game after this if it is the same engine.

    I proofed a bit.

I wasn't keen on the tone either.
