Grenades become the primary weapon inside two action squares. This was pointed out by a scenario designer. M203 grenade launchers  Like to specify the distance once they toss them all over the place it is a waste.

I wouldn't call them the primary weapon. Rather some random amount are chucked together with the smgs/rifles.

    Problems:

SMG fires almost all clip off, when they attack they stop to relaod at critical moment.

Never sure how many, if any, grenades will get chucked.

What I would like is what you see in military training, where several squad members throw grenades before assaulting, without firing their weapons.

And I forgot in the list, better modelled smoke grenades/rounds. More instant smoke coverage.

  2. Throw grenades command

Improved draw distance (not playing cold War at the moment as big maps are not showing trees etc at distance).

Acquire with option to specify amount (I don't think I would use a put back command much and disadvantage of extra complexity may outweigh benefit).

Colour all teams of same squad - if I have terminology right (I know colour blind people won't benefit but majority will).

    More options for road angles.

Hotkey to select last way point of currently selected unit - would greatly speed up issuing orders.

Better handling of sounds. When I am playing, I am pretty sure some sounds cut out, and with sound mods it becomes unplayable due to delays in sound (on both old Macbook Pro and current Macbook Air).

    M1 native version.

    More flexibility in uniforms mixing.

    Better building targeting.

I am hoping 2022 announcement delayed because Engine 5 to ve released with all the above imminently😁

@Armorgunner It is also equipped with BM22 APFSDS rounds, which punch significantly harder than the BM15 APFSDS rounds the T-72A is equipped with. It is a significant upgrade that makes it competitive against Abrams.

There are lots of refererences to improved ammo making a diferference in this game. Would someone bve able to give an example of why changes in ammo make such a big difference if shell and powder (if those are the terms) are presumably same volume.

  4. I have same on Macvbook Air M1.

I like playing with shadows on, so don't really want to turn them off. Hopefully will get fixed.

Also hopefully M1 native support would come.

But then again new PBEM will never support any Mac. Maybe Mac (meaning M1 effectively) is not in the picture going forward.

  5. Lots of issues with current taxation basis. In practice, income tax can be highly regressive, as many citizens with significant wealth avoid paying income tax through various means (use of offshore trusts, using capital gains allowances/capital gains at lower rate, drip-feeding capital gains, and offsetting against losses, avoiding payment of national insurance through employment setups). Makes me rage.

Tax is not an expense, it is a contribution to public services. I can't get my head around the US model - it would drive me crazy to have the risk of medical bills either through lack of cover or excesses even with cover - I just can't imagine the extra stress of all that.

I am much more in favour of the Scandinavian model in general. High taxes and high social security. Just seems to make sense to me, pity I can't speak the languages (and it is freezing cold/dark for half the year).

For the UK, they screwed up while part of the EU. They had lots of ways to control migration but didn't use them. Maddening that the EU gets blamed for that! Here in Belgium, EU citizens can move here freely but if you don't have a job within (3?) months, out you go, and they are very strong on enforcing that (and mandatory registration/ID cards to track people, with police visits to confirm you live at the address.

And the UK are really struggling now in lots of areas. Many of the migrants have gone, but it is a struggle to find UK citizens to fill the jobs they vacated. Fruit pickers, HGV drivers, Social carers, the list goes on and on.

  6. I seem to recall that someone at Battlefront had said that spotting has been artifically boosted vs Real World as otherwise game would vbe frustrating as hardly anything would be spotted.

Having said that, I entirely agree that spotting through woods should be lowered, particularly when looking into woods. Again, I recall from a BFC comment that this is not Wysiwyg, but rather some formula based on tiles.

Really, you want them to ship it if it still has major problems? I get it we all want it but fixating on some specific date isn't really magical. So, personally I'd rather it work than be released.

I was more coming from the angle that if they have announced it publicly it is a firm date (based on Elvis's recent post too). I am one of the many that would rather it work than be released.

  8. Bit harsh on both sides perhaps. Not starting from scratch by e.g. using master maps or modifying existing scenarios seems fair enough to me, and as good a way as any to start off, and perhaps be encouraged rather than being called a parasite. It wasn't as if Artkin has publicly released and called them his own.

In relation to MikeyD not releasing scenarios (I assume that is what was meant) - he does - I think there are multiple of his scenarios in the official releases. Not a fair comment at all.

  9. CMFI for me, I think it has the highest number of memorable scenarios - and one's I come back to again and again (currently replaying the excellent tobacco factory scenario) - also pretty balanced forces but quite distinct.

Cold War - at the moment my macbook is struggling with scenario sizes so I haven't been playing too much of it.

SF2 - not balanced forces, Javelin is too much.

BS - javelin again (plus Bradley's seem over powerful - perhaps too résistant to artillery/30mm).

BN- my second favourite, again, memorable scenario design and more even forces.

RT - scale of many scenarios is too big for macbook/too many units.

Hopefully the next upgrade will have a positive impact on performance (and ideally run native on Mac M1- I can dream can't I?).

I have CMPE, and after playing a lot of it, testing it, etc, I have come away most shocked with how feature complete and functional the convoy command is. I am absolutely surprised it was never put into Engine 4, and specifically, that there are so many rumors about how non-functional it is. I hope it comes in Engine 5. I wonder what prevented it from becoming a universal feature?

Would be good to know what else on the 'list' above is actually in professional.
