I haven't seen anyone bring this up yet but these revenge attacks remind me of The Battle of Britain when Britain accidently bombed a German city instead of a military target.  Germany started attacking British cities and quit focusing on British military targets.  This allowed Britain to win this particular battle.  History seems to repeat itself.

NATO is already in the war via the tremendous amount of support its members have given to Ukraine's defense. There can be little doubt NATO's efforts have killed Russians on the battlefield. NATO sees that Russia is on the run and wants to manage the endgame and get them out of Ukraine. I hope that's as quick as possible at a minimum cost to Ukraine. Should NATO add direct air and ground support to get that done? Probably not. Other than WMD, instigating that type of NATO escalation is out of Putin's hands. And I don't think he wants to be on the receiving end. But irrational leaders do irrational things. Including trying to save their butts in whatever way necessary.

Yes, Putin could say all that, but what kind of leader would that make him? A complete fool leading his country not to glory but to complete ruin - not only militarily but also economically in the years to come, as sanctions will not be lifted as long as he is in power.

Ukraine is on the road of getting enough AA
I did not know Ukraine was getting 4 batteries of IRIS-T. Combine this with 8 batteries of NASAMS coming and you get pretty respectful AA coverage. You also get to top this off with all the soviet systems.
Finnish military has 8 batteries of NASAMS as the bas AA network (combined with around 60 modern fighters). This is deemed enough for FDF. Rest of the AA are short range systems.

it is enough in the sense of restoring the territorial integrity of Ukraine.  I think however Russia needs to be treated as the pariah state it is.  To restore relations to the west, Russia needs to pay reparations and war crimes trials.  Until that happens the west should continue to isolate Russia economically and politically.
