sounds like squad assault.. i gave up on when i realised you couldnt actually hit a tank at any range with an bazooka or panzershreck.. they were completely bugged -

im not completely sure but a few people have commented that the kar98 doesnt have a seperate sound.. it could be the same issue with the mp-40. -
i roundeded a corner in my little scimitar to discover in the proceeding minute what was a clear alley now contains a t-55 pointing at me.. it fires, and misses and my little light tank that could. killed it with 30mm rounds frontally and i still dont know how haha

Opinions on Normandy vs CMSF
wombat_of_war replied to abneo3sierra's topic in Combat Mission Battle for Normandy
in shockforce i found the lethality of the battlefield scary to say the least. tanks taken out at long range with ATGM's, needing to take a fortified urban area but required to do it with next to no casualties. yet when you do spot an enemy all hell breaks loose when everything opens up on them from. CMBN on the other hand i find as others have mentioned things are more forgiving, battles tend to be more even with the US forces outgunned in some cases by superior german equipment. its weird for me, i should like CMBN more, i loved the first games, i like the historical aspect, yet shockforce i find it easier to get into for a reason i cant identify -

i guess the war would be over before they could be refitted with new vehicles if it came down to it. honestly it would be more likely i think they would be sent to the rear and another unit brought up from reserve to continue the push
