  1. In the game setings you need to turn off the sound opition, that will take away the sound of the battle, but it's the only way... Do as I do, turn all the in-game sound off and listen to music Obs: You can go and find what is the .wav file in the sound folder and change it for something else, like a .wav file with no sound at all, or the sound of meow... just don't do it if you have no idea how to
  2. Possibly HQ support makes the defensive fire better, I never tryed it out, the terrain makes a diference, mainly if the unit is in trench or not, if not, it's deals lot's of pain.
  3. I agree with Ivanov, most of my units, and enemy unit, atk, but get hit by arty, even with no str loss, the atk is much less eficient, from a prediction of 2/3 damage, I get a 3/3 or 3/2, when I get a str loss, even if it's only one point, the atk can become 4/2, which is devastating.
  4. Cool bill, so it will be moved up the mountain I presume. Also, do not forget about the rail comm near haifa, if the entente player bomb haifa, the same thing will happen the all palestina cities.
  5. A harbor is teresting, at least for adana, a good player can lay down a sub there and hit any ship that try to bomb down adana rail comm, it would be very dificult for any player take down a harbor with a sub in it... prob is, ottomans do not start with a sub, you need to move a sub from the adriatic into adana harbor... well, would worth the risk
  6. I've never heard of any operation where only naval gunfire distrupted the rail comm, but if you say there were such operations during WW1, could you share a link here, I would be very interested. It's hard to stop these operations against adana, maybe it's possible with the lack of entente naval power in the mediterrain and focused use of AH/Ottoman naval power. It takes 2 hits to cut the rail comm for at least 1 turn, it takes 2-3 ships to put adana down to 0 supply value, and even 1 BC can keep it that way for more than 6 months, 2 ships can maintain it out until the end of the war. The problem is the lack of supply, The ottoman troops get in a very bad situation down on palestina, the troops are already weak, lack of supply is the last thing they need.
  7. I have a problem with nearly all my games, I use the entente navel power to take down adana nad cut all the rail comunication to the middle east, making the ottomans loose lots of supply and MPPs, and making things easy for my troops down htere. I forgot about this strategy in my recent game, but be sure this will fall over your adana too peter, be sure of that  The real problem is cutting rail comunication with naval power this is gamy and unrealistic. I don't know about any entente operation to cut the rails from Instanbul to the middle east. I have identified 3 places one can bombard to cut rail comm: scutari, adana and haifa. Scutari is not extremely important for you can only do it with the russian navy, which is easy to take down. The ottomans will never be able to take the entente navy in force, even with AH help, maybe in the tripple alliance map, so there is the need to reapir this problem. I suggest the implementation of a rail comm that goes around adana over the position (324, 82) a small rail road, only for game porpouse, and the change of the rail in the possition (325, 90) from the rail connection, as follow in the img. This allow the EC player to land units in these places and still cut off rail comm, but no navel force can take it down.
  8. I know Ivanov, just telling you not to think something is simple... it's never simple
  9. Ivanov, never tell a programer that something is simple, it's never simple... Stacking units give enormous considerations to balance the game to make thing work out. It's not simple, but if it's on huberts mind, he will make it, with the perfection he has done so far, at least I thrust him.
  10. I see your point, I will give it a try with the demo, luckly, I will try this only next week, so nothing has been made yet, I will take you hint, thanks
  11. Agree here. There should be something britain can do to work better in a situation like this, maybe, the best sollution, is to add a corp unit in egypt, if basra is not taken, the quantaty of brit troops in egypt is nearly everything brit needs to halt any ottoamn advance, unless you focus all ottoman forces there, like this, you might be able to do something... maybe.
  12. Good luck, last time I went around asking my dear countrymen if they would do it, I got only a big "NO". Oh, the lack of patriotism in my country irritates me.
  13. Nay, sorry guys, another fate of nations mirror game, after that, a mirror of call to arms... Ok, I will lay down a question, would you guys like a game of tripple alliance or fate of nations, or even call to arms at the quarter finals, which is next fase.
  14. We can seay that they will, but if there is no place of this minor to lay down new units, you need to fight to take over at least a town, so you can buy new units, this feture can make belgium not surrender even if Ypres fall, but is somehow retaken, serbia do not surrender allowing the player to retreatr the army into albania, greece or montinegro. It's like, we will fight until the last man!
  15. I will take a look in it, if things go well or not, I will let you guys know. Thanks for the help.
  16. I just got an old computer of mine formated and have Ubuntu instaled on it, the computer have all the basic specs to run SC: TGW, but I have no fuc*ing idea of how to make the game run on it. I know the game don't officially run in linux, but if there is anyone here that use linux, I would love to have some support. Obs: This is the fist time I use linux for real, so go easy on me. Thanks in advance.
  17. There is truth in your words, I just want to open another point here, could the montinegrin troops continuos the fight if they retreat from montinegro, because all the troops surrender and go away after montinegro looses it's capital.
  18. So, that means, if I retreat serbian troops, serbia don't surrender? If so, that changes, like, EVERYTHING! Possible strategy for belgium and serbia, retreat and survive.
  19. I guess we all know the bad side of making such investiment, but, it's just to add some historical flavor  Who know it might come to be a good idea, think, if germany does a russia first and don't atk belgium, making greece join in full strength and use the greek army to hold any atk coming from albania and land the bulk of the french and brit army down there can make this front a really important one and causing much trouble for the CP player, like taking galipolli or even Istanbul, seting the ottomans out of the war  , like, that is a terrible hit in the heart for the CP player, can even mean the end of the war for AH and after that germany. With this idea comes another question, could the Entente decalre war on greece and land troops in Athenas and around Salonika, taking over greece, maybe before serbia kicks out. The question is, decaration of war cause the full mobilization of the greek army?
  20. Well, take a look in the pathc modfications for 1.04, this prob should had been fixed.
  21. Or maybe a beeter evolutiuon of the basic game, with an upgraded supply system, which is much, much needed, better grafics, of couse, hexes, if possible and maybe manpower. All the other are just an add of complexity to the game, the game is simple, and that is what make it fun to be played. I would not dislike a more complex game, but I think simplicity is the main thing in huberts mind, but one can only speculate.
