  1. Oh, man, I'll wait. Thanks for the warning, Michael!
  2. I've been playing with the idea of replacing the coax with a Bushmaster. But I don't want to make this thing unreasonable.
  3. You know, a reactor makes sense in more ways than one. You make it known around the world that our tanks run on nukes. Go ahead. Shoot at us.
  4. How much weight and space will it save if they replace all that diesel with a nuclear reactor?
  5. Playing in CBFB, I see that "blizzard" makes it hard to see. So our next gen Abrams (squad, mortar, VLS Javelin, etc.) needs some kind of wiper thing to clear snow. Or maybe some kind of area heater that projects a cone that melts snow within a certain radius. Or something. I haven't given it much thought. The galley needs a microwave. For Cup O' Noodles and other Ramen products.
  6. The Mac version occasionally flips graphics assigned to the "Tactical" window of the Scenario Editor. I just submitted a ticket, I've never made a scenario before, and so I just noticed it. Any chance that was fixed?
  7. New, huh? When you've been here awhile, you'll still buy the game, but you won't recommend getting involved with Battlefront to anyone. Because, well, your reputation.
  8. [cue Flight of the Valkyries] Dah-dah, da-da-da-DAH-Dah!
  9. I'm working on cutting weight down, to keep it air transportable and so I can add a radar unit and stealth coating.
  10. I agree. Panzers from the sky is hard, but Panzers from the sea is good. We'll keep the weight to what a C17 can haul, and we'll eliminate the air-droppable requirement, and replace it with air transportable. Either that or we can establish some kind of air-droppable parts scenario, like the first airborne drops were, and break each tank into pieces, scatter them all over the landscape, jump in, and start assembling the pieces.
  11. The scenario editor displays points now and always has displayed points. What has become the Quick Battle generator, in an earlier iteration, used to display points, and you used to be able to cherry pick your units individually. That was way, way back there, though, before Battlefront was Battlefront, before some of you had been born and before they blamed Apple for breaking the game by releasing System 7. (That was the first time I heard them claim it was all Apple's fault.)
  12. Looking for a way to get huge picture of map 286 (Novohurivka). The damn thing is too long to get a screen shot. If I could get the screen shot, or any image of it, I could get it into my graphics program to screw with it and create operational and tactical maps. Any suggestions?
  13. First thing I noticed is that they don't appear to have used the division as an echelon. Is that accurate?
  14. Whoa, guys, just whoa. I think some of your specs are starting to get unreasonable... A dirigible that could lift an Abrams would never fit in a C130.
  15. So now that we have a house battery bank, I'm thinking some kind of heater for winter.
  16. Final, final, final spec: as above, with a small mini fridge running off a separate "house" battery bank.
  17. Specifics: Amphibious: capable of reaching 25 knots in any seas, capable of being launched from any ship serving in the U.S. Navy from over the horizon. Air droppable: from C-130s. Real grunts do not recognize any other aircraft. Abrams: as in M1A2. Infantry squad: 11 man light infantry version. We might need some kind of small, squad-sized galley. 81mm mortar: with 128 rounds of HE, WP, Cluster and illumination ammo. Javelin VLS: capable of independant launch of up to twenty missiles. I trust this puts this subject to rest. P.S. oh, and improve off road top speed, protection and rate of fire for the main gun.
  18. Oh, damn, I forgot the Javelins. Okay, here we go, final, final design spec: an amphibious, air-droppable Abrams tank that carries an infantry squad and has an 81mm mortar and a VLS for Javelins. I'm ambivalent about the stretcher bay. I wasn't impressed with the Stryker ambulance.
  19. Oooh, I forgot that! An amphibious, air-droppable Abrams tank that carries an infantry squad and has an 81mm mortar in the back!
  20. Tipping the same stripper on three consecutive nights does not constitute a relationship.
  21. This is why I'm not interested in the debate results.
  22. That would change everything, if the 82nd could jump in strapped into Abrams tanks! [cue Ride of the Valkyries] Da-dah, da-da-da-DAH-dah!
  23. What were (or where are) the results of the test?
