  1. I had some curiosity and went to look at these DayZ forums. Never heard of the game. I am 50 and listen to old music too. Still have my Columbia Music club 1 cent CD's. Anyway, I had to read about this game. in development. In alpha still I guess. Since about 2012. Huge sales as the so called early access deal. 175,000 copies? Big moola. Hired another development team of 25 people. Maybe one is salary to deal with the forums. The head dude is Dean Hall and I searched that forum and saw no posts by him or anything with DHall or Hall. maybe I just didn't find it. I did find a locked thread. It was a developer appreciation thread that melted down into an argument. They use "fanboy" and "fanbois" over there as an insult. pretty regularly it seems. I am obviously from a very different world than those type folks. I hope CM gets better. But to express it outside the manner that i would in turn like to be treated in, that is not my style. I don't know what to say. We gotta call a spade a spade here. Some of these recurring folks just are being what they are. Anyway, that is my 5 cent report.
  2. This is just my tiny test map with all possible paved road tiles to quickly examine the progress (or lack of) as I struggle to do the mod. I hope this is already being done by someone working on Bulge. I think it would be a nice addition. As a paved road 1* [snow] type internal modtag series. I am a bit surprised it didn't get done for CMFI GL. Maybe it will get done for the next CMFI module? Italy has that ugly yellowish paved roads but Belgium would I think have the grey asphalt like Holland. So I am sliding in the grey here for this mod and then laying on the snow with a layer mask with tire marks. I am struggling with the exact match of the tiremarks between the sections. It has to be exactly symmetrical because several files flip directions to save on bmp storage. Then I gotta make sure the opacity is the same so the tone is perfectly matched to avoid the mismatch. I need to know how to save an entire layer effect or just swap out the base original tile but then its alpha goes with it....Ugggh! Then the turns have to have curved tire marks in various arc shapes that also line up nicely with any straight sections. And the 45 degree dealies. Jeez Malone! Easier said than done...
  3. You should give it a go as the GM. I think we could use a new approach around here!
  4. Turn 3A commences with the allies making their moves <I will find out if any axis defensive fire was made and if it had any effect...>. ....and declaring an assault from hex 1,7 into 1,6. A village named Dommelen...... You guessed it...
  5. I still have to make or find the PzC map. The allied setup will have some requirements on where they are initially versus choosing not to defend all the beaches. Panzer Campaign El Alamein '42 comes with an entire Malta map....
  6. If anybody else wanted to run it, they could but I will have to wait a bit more. I have the T-34 mod to finish a few tweaks. @mjkerner had some folgore and FJ mods he was working. Mark's summers get very full being a counselor up at the female college nude volleyball camp he runs up on the shores of ol' Lake Iwannagedonya...
  7. MikeyD is probably loving doing these. Lucky ducky! I hope modders stick around. Modding to me just adds to the variety available to the community. Adding a vehicle nickname or unit markings for example. It would be awesome if BFC got that vehicle turret and hull bmp file matching issue worked out. A floodgate of cool stuff could be loaded in the z folders.
  8. @Concord How do you like the 3D view above for screenshots? Ground conditions are normal. Visibility is 5 hexes and you have spotted these axis units: Trenches and XXX infantry in Migojo. XX Assault guns in the forest behind them in 1,6 XX recon forces in 2,4. X scout cars in 3,4. Let's get this party started!
  9. I freaked out and ran to delete all the Kate Upton shots out of my posts....the big raid a la Sean Connery in the Untouchables?
  10. No intent to slam your curve. I always just go direct to/from my photobucket page. I don't use the BFC image hosting. Like this below for example. I got the Hungarian art done finally.... thanks to help from MikeyD with a photoshop technique. EDIT: I still have to adjust a few fatigue levels and morale settings.
  11. It has some 2AD St Lo references still so it was slightly confusing to me. Plus it opened on the photobucket library page. My typical SOP is to go into my photobucket to my desired image and select it there and then on the right side in photobucket image page you left-click on IMG and it copies to the clipboard the link to then ctrl-v here in the BFC forum in your post. Follow me? Just don't ever go delete your photobucket images or you leave a dead link here forever and ever. til the end of time.
  12. Erwin, OK, in a couple months give us a jingle here or by PM and we can see where we are on this project.
  13. @Snols have you opened the first turn yet? ****************************** We'll let the 0400 night battle of Migojo play out while we get ready for the main operations starting at 0600!
  14. the number jumped the tracks. should have been 010. press forward
  15. Normally I have tried to lean toward method A. Method B seemed to come up naturally as folks were not available anyway if you know what I mean. But with so many folks on the team in this Operation, we will play it by ear.
  16. @Rocketman Hi Joakim, to answer your question from the other thread. I am gathering my [hosingen] mods in one place and will eventually upload it all. As far as all bulge related mods in one place, I doubt it. The snowy roads are going well. I see how the game flips and reuses images. I have a day off from the gym tonight and will attack the snowy roads. I also have an idea to group the 512x512s into a bigger square to get the line up perfect.
  17. Working the snowy roads. Had made great progress. Almost saved and cat turned off my pc....
  18. Pm me if you want help with the AI plan for wall blasters
  19. Yes, it is possible. wire, walls, ATM machines, etc. http://community.battlefront.com/topic/114018-trying-to-get-ai-engineers-to-blow-a-hole-in-barbed-wire/?hl=demo#entry1515775
