  1. I agree with you guys I've been on board with CM titles from day one and I never been disappointed with their products..Keep up the good work
  2. In Steven Zaloga's wonderful book "Armored Thunderbolt"...he wrote in part, "Warfare in the industrial age requires a careful balance of mass and quality. A single perfect tank cannot offer the same combat power as ten adequate but imperfect tanks....The Chrysler Corporation history of their tank building effort in WW II concluded "our tanks were better because the Germans never learned to think in terms of reliability as we use the word, that is, maximum performance with minimum care and replacement. The Sherman was ultimately a better weapon than the heavier German tanks since it could be fielded in adequate numbers to carry out it's many missions. The Sherman was the backbone of the not only the US army and Marines, but the British, Canadian, French and Polish armored divisions in 43' thru 45'...The combat power of the US infantry units and substantially enhanced by routine tank support from Sherman battalions... The Sherman was not the best tank of World War II, but it was good enough.
  3. Replayed " A muddy affair " and when my guys approached the town they came under MG fire. My commanders, all of which were all unbuttoned, slammed their hatched down after the second burst. Works pretty good as far as I can tell...Thanks much BF.
  4. I was asking if it was used in the direct fire mode I don't think it in the game...If I remember correctly i was in the CMBO game
  5. Did are guys use this baby in the direct fire mode like the German did with the 88
  6. Yeah..well there fighting on the wrong side...but they don't know it yet
  7. The game is great...I'm happy to blast the bad guys with upgraded Sherman in the snow... One thing I noticed is that when a had an arty strike brought down on a spot forest. When the rounds detonated the surrounding trees flashed with light……I thought it was cool
  8. This little vehicle was cool...totally German...The weasel was okay...but not as cool as this guy
  9. Was the King Tiger out of gas or disabled...still was a semi-mobile pill box with the dreaded 88. Made sure a 76 mm round made him dead tiger
  10. I must say I find it frustrating to open the commander hatch to support advancing infantry with machine gun fire and within a matter of seconds “Blam” your guy gets smoked. This situation is common in these games and in real life, and there is no doubt being unbuttoned and exposing one’s self to small arms fire is a dangerous business. I just feel it seems a little bit too much. Open hatch…fire a burst or two.. get nailed. I know the Germans were good, but consistently so…. This comment is somewhat more tongue in cheek than anything else but just once I would like to play” Audie Murphy” and live long enough to develop PTSD...I mean no offence…. because I suffer somewhat from PTSD….Am I the only guy who feels this way?
  11. Great map...played it twice already...One thing is for sure if you push your tanks ahead of your ground pounders your probably going to get wacked... Those dang panzerfausts. I lost almost all of my tanks but still managed to win a partial victory....As far as the lost platoon was concerned...I spit them up and flanked those armoured cars...but I still got chewed up alittle bit by there main gun. The other thing that I thought was cool was when you open up the half track the guys in the back pop up and return fire... You might loose a few guys as seems to be the case....My men would not like my tactical choices, but after all it's a game.
  12. Yeah that baby....quite ugly but appears to sea worthy especially crossing the english channel
  13. They had some big ugly half boat half vehicle....german version of a DUCK they were going to use for sea lion....if i'm not mistaken
  14. Okay got it no mas schwimmwagen. Was that the only german vehicle that schwimmed?.. The heavy tanks just fell off the bridges into das water
  15. Yes and we could swim the swimmwagon...
  16. Okay...like my daddy used to say" if you have to ask the answer is no"
  17. I know this is broken record question....but when can i download the sucker....
  18. A schwimmwagen...three or four..Ah ...Nuts
  19. Okay MarkEzra..I was confused...now I got it. When a QB map is saved it changes to a .bts file...Thanks. Oh by the way...I completely uninstalled the game and re-did everything. Thanks
  20. So all my QB maps have to end with .BTS...they don't they still with BTT
  21. Wow..Okay. so any file ending in BTT is for CMRT.....Okay I guess this took place during my computer swap so months ago. Okay thanks
  22. Okay....Loaded the game and I see a larger quantity of Russian units than I used. I don't think that should matter. My deal was daytime yours nighttime. Don't see the reason for any change. but I did not create the game. All I had was the forward Obs guys, nothing else. I had more shooters.
  23. I have 1.30 version of CMBS. I sent the file again. I loaded up the same file and once again the Russian units bunched up like the first time, Although in a different location on the map.. "Battle of Horesfld" is what I named the file when I first created it. I renamed it "Battle of gaggle". It is the same file, I changed nothing. I must admit that I've not uploaded many files and for some reason I can't get a photo of my mods folder to load into the forum. I know there is a limit, but the file is only like 211 KB what gives? Battle of Horesfeld.btt
