Yes as far as I remember in the Challenger incident it was rather cold on pad when they launched and the "o-ring" failed. A very sad and tragic "accident" ensued. I will as many of us who were around back then will forever remember watching in horror. We will forever remember where we were, what we were doing at that time.

Again making the comparison to NASA...I would add that if 99% is good enough then I would be more than a little worried about that sticky little 1%... Morton-Thickol's o-ring issue on the ill fated Challenger disaster as one example. Although this comparison may not be fair given the different issues involved. 1% failure on a large rocket motor vs the wrong solider crewing a certain vehicle, or whatever.

So then.... lets get this board straight... It's not really about information or the exchange of information it's a complaint board...or maybe it's a way of blowing of steam and openly expressing your particular views to others fellow board members which sometimes may lead to their eternal regret. We are all not the same which know to all. Some people are horders and have to wade though mountains of newspapers and other junk to get to their tv and computers.. Some people like me are not social butterflies and more couch potatoes while other people are everywhere in between. I really don't think a delay is the end of the world but I at the same time some coherent information would be welcome, that's all.

I thought the video was okay....I just wanted to get some other news that has not been forthcoming, for whatever reason. I pre-ordered the game and I don't feel bad about it because I have been very happy with all the other CM games from the very beginning. I mean all the way back to CMBO and everything since. Well it seems to me that know one seems to know what is going on....Does anyone think that no information is acceptable. I am really starting to get a little more concerned about this whole thing....I already paid my money for the prepaid game. That's fine but if you ask me i am starting to get a little more than concerned. Can someone at BF give us some info as to WTF is going on...A little info would make me and some other folks calm down a little bit....Not much in my opinion this whole deal is getting a little more than than concerning...I know it's only a game but......really can we have some GD info.....

Well yes all true....I guess I should have clarified by Market-Garden defeat as being the only Allied defeat in the western european camapain

Well's that right Dieppe did rather suck for the Rangers and the Canadian units who were soundly thumped the Germans..The UK units on Crete lost but the German paratroopers for all their elan got their asses kicked, but they won a pyrrhic victory which basically ended any further major landings by them. As for France well...enough said in modern war a fixed defence as maginot line was more part of the 1st world war than the 2nd which spelled France's major defeat. Also Dunkirk which was an allied victory of sorts when they were managed to evacuate some 300,000 british soliders. I really did not clearly understand why the Germans did not go all out to smash them, but they did not do so and they paid dearly later on.

Well it's now Friday September 21st. 74 years on the forth day of Operation Market-Garden. The Allied only serious defeat of the war. Just thought I would mention that. Anyway September is almost over and still no demo to keep us occupied. What's up with that.

Our we talking about WW2 or today...I watched a you tube show about West Point cadets and their training and I saw people who scared me as being leaders...In combat I presume which I found to be rather disturbing..
