This is how I set these guys up. As you can see I have one of my forward observers on the hill overlooking the approaching Russians. I let things play out for a few turns as I stated before I thought the BMP's would approach the ford and when they did so I was going to blast them into the drink, but that did'nt happen. So I blasted them as they commiserated. Battle of Gaggle.btt

The map I used was Hill-water-Village probe 912 X 816. I did not alter any of the terrain objective or anything like that. I simply chose some units and played the american side. I thought that since the bridge was busted that the BMP's would cross at the fording point. I had my drone up with my forward observer and this is what formed up. I called down 120 MM fire on the gaggle. I brought down the Bradley's from where I had them concealed and they chewed up the BMP's and the infantry. Funny thing was that one of the T-90's blasted by sole Abrams tank and a couple of my Bradley's but not before they nailed a few of them. I thought it was kinda fun, but as you can see very bizarre behavior by the Russian vehicles. I tried to upload a photo from the Abrams view, but I cannot seem to get it to work...I gave up.

Thought you guys would get a kick out of this....Some kinda of Russian thing...This was Russian AI in action using a quick battle map.

Getting back to the bulge..Peiper did want to take those "King" tiger tanks with him. They were too slow and heavy. He told his men don't stop for anything. Peiper was leading the spearhead...In the book the "Longest Winter" a small "I&R" detachment held up Peiper's advance for a day or more. The battle of Lansareth where Hitler threw a " Fallschirmjager" unit, not the real deal paratroopers, just a bunch of former luffwaffe guys thrown together and made to look like a real unit This american unit kicked the crap our of these third stringers who were suppose to clear the way for the "spearhead". Bad move on Hitler's part. If a real crack unit was up front clearing the way for Peiper's "spearhead well it would have only prolonged the evevntual defeat of the whole deal. This could make for a good scenario in CMFB, if you like to play the good guys and cream the Germans in their frontal assaults against fixed positions with plenty of automatic weapons.

The stuff about Hitler.....was very interesting..I knew the guy was nuts, but the brothers grim and Hansel and Gretel, The forest, the bunkers....If he allowed the full development of the ME 262 into pure fighter, not the fighter bomber junk..That jet would have really made our guys in bombers and other fighter planes a bad time..Thank God Hitler would not listen to the many talented Officers who knew what they were doing. The one thing that really stuck with me was this.. For every German tank, there was forty horses...Their infantry units were still mostly horse drawn...I have not seen of any horse drawn units you can deploy in CMFB...There were some Russian bred horses which they used which were quite hardy in winter weather.

While all of us wait patiently for CMFB…Here is some interesting info from the 106th Division who fought in the bulge. As I sure most of us know the Battle of the Bulge was the largest land battle fought by the United States Army and involved over three quarters of a million men. I have read many books on the bulge, but this book, “Snow and Steel” by Peter Caddick-Adams, in my opinion, takes this monumental military story higher level. While we sip our favorite drink in our warm homes sitting by our computers waiting…Let’s take a moment and reflect on the 89,500 casualties 19,500 killed, 47,500 wounded and the 23,000 captured and missing. Well I installed everything again. I'm thinking it's a windows 10 thing. I had windows 8 and upgraded some tine ago and reinstalled this game and now I have black clad gook looking GI'S... the funny thing is that CW forces are totally kitted out...no problems. the The Germans and are kinda messed up, but what the heck...I think my wife is going taking off to the bar, I've been a total jerk trying to get my guys kitted out...If this sounds little on the nut job side, well...I'm guilty as charged...

I'm thinking when I reinstalled everything today, I missed something on the patching, but I'm not sure. File was corrupt possibly? I still trying to figure this out. I appreciate the suggestions.

I have no uniform mods whatsoever...I extracted the BP file into an empty folder and it works fine with this one american uniform deal the CW guys are all kitted up

Makes sense...I deleted everything and reinstalled all of the modules and the new BP....It looks okay with the exception of the americans units...They either are wearing black w/o helmets or they have on the paratrooper uniforms w/o helmets....very irritating.

Checked all the allied nations and there good, Americans are all wearing black w/o helmets. The german paras have their helmets and camo uniforms, regular german army are wearing black also....Driving me nuts. All the americans need is a triangle pith helmet and they would look like the charlie in vietnam

I downloaded the BP and none of the guys have a helmet..The uniforms were all black. Then I went into the editor and selected 101 AB and I have the patch and uniform,still no headgear. Kinda wierd, must be a video thing,, If I had to guess.

I know the nasty little Sadam boys were blown up by TOW missiles when they got cornered. Too good of an end for those two jerks. They were holed up in some building

The tried to use the ground based TOW missile launcher against personnel inside buildings..They would only engage the enemy with small arms fire, no TOW launched. Am I missing something.....???

I also like the Green and Jade CMSF Mods as well....

I was thinking if it was possible to make a DD tank mod. I have a great interest in the Sherman DD tanks that came ashore at Gold Beach, Juno and Sword Beaches, not to mention Omaha, with mostly tragic results. I always loved the pictures and news reel shots of the DD tanks advancing with infantry with their "skirts" lowered as the moved inland from the beaches. Am I the only one that is DD nuts or what....If it can't be done, oh well I thought it would be neat anyway.

:confused: While playing "Last Defense" three M-10 TD units became available. Towards the end they ran out of main gun ammo. I then tried to get the crew to fire the Caliber 50....No go. I checked around and could not locate an answer. The "open up" command did not work as it would for the Sherman tank units.
