Operation Hercules: The Invasion of Malta [WIP]
folkie replied to kohlenklau's topic in CM Fortress Italy Maps and Mods
map is 99.5% done. just fixing some anamolies in the terrain. I think kohl is a victim of his own success at these operations. so many operations, so little time! when the time comes if this is going to be a mp game I would be more than happy to take a company of fj's -

thanks for the feedback. yes that is skyline drive. i tried to make the map as bleak as possible, not alot of flavor objects, same foliage everywhere, houses all look the same for the most part. etc. there were a few more farm roads but you wouldn't see them due to the snow covering them so i left them out. btw here is some re enactor footage from belgium. the fighting starts about 20mins in and the erzatz panther shows up around 30mins in. the german re enactors look really good i think. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4qSAou-60gA -

yes, not much cover leading up to Hosingen, should be pretty sporty for the Volksgrenadiers when they have to break cover and go up the hill. but that's the terrain they fought on, it is what it is. bottom line though, Hosingen must be taken for the germans to advance to the west. -

what the hell, put me in too. either side is fine. -
i remember seeing a pic of a panther painted like that in the panzer colors series of books. quite rare but accurate. german armor crews were issued the basic 3 colors of paint and german tanks had a built in spray gun system. the crews were left to themselves as how to paint and the density of the colors which sometimes depended on how much paint they actually had to work with. the paint issued by the germans was also capable of being mixed with water or diesel fuel or any other liquid to thin it out. in my opinion that's what makes german armor so cool, the wide variety of paint schemes and creativity of the crews.

carl, no you were just ranting and people tried to explain things to you. you are just putting out a lot of negative energy in my opinion and really beginning to harsh my mellow. have a nice day -

carl, you know some of these guys are trying to help you. I wouldn't go alienating people who are trying to help you, makes a person look bad, you know. -

I would concur with what mord says and also say in my opinion cma gives you the best chance at winning if you play as the mujahedeen.in cmsf the american/nato firepower can be overwhelming.

well if you go to koh's little soiree and don't want to take the collective acid trip, stay away from the punch bowl.. though personally I think a lot of members here could do with a little acid trip every now and again IMHO.. -

how safe were those panzerfausts? looks like if they hit a bump in the road the thing would take their heads off. or are these just prototypes?

i don't think aris plays cmbs, kieme is the main mod guy here and does excellent work. check out his thread and you won't be disappointed.
