  1. Thanks for clarifying, The way I hope to see possible 'what if" content for the June 44 to September 44 period is this... If it was already in production or had been built during the time period above, then it "MIGHT" or "MAYBE" could be included. Example...say the Canadians couldn't get new Sherman's from the US (insert a plausible fictional reason...ie Transports shipping the Canadian Sherman's were sunk by U-boats...something) so the Canadians had to resort to issuing RAM II's to front line units. Same could be said of the Bishop SPG and so on so forth. Take for instance the US M6, M18 hellcat, or M36. All tested back in the states to be armed with the 90mm gun, the M36 later actually being issued of course. Insert a plausible fictional reason...ie... US intelligence knew, recognized, and acted on the ever increasing German armour strength & thus pushed 90mm armed US tanks into production in 1943 thus becoming available to counter German tanks for the invasion of Europe These all seem somewhat plausible "what if" possibilities. However seeing completely new designs such as the E-50 or E75 during the June-Sep. 44 period seems completely implausible. That's the type of "What If" content I'd personally like to see:)
  2. So were the Royal Marines considered an "Elite" Force? Held among the same standards as U.S. Rangers, 1st Special Service Force, Airborne troopers, and to some extent U.S. Marines?
  3. +1 Ya that'd be a nice addition! Also are British Commandos the same as Britsh Royal Marines? Did Royal Marines see Combat in Europe after D-day? I don't have a clue.
  4. No these tanks did not see action in Normandy or Italy, I'm just suggesting content or "what if" content for a CMBN pack. At least these aforementioned tanks were actually produced during the war so why not include them in a what if Pack. BF has mentioned that they'd like to some time in the future include possible "what if" tanks.
  5. I'd like to see the following, American M6 heavy tank, pressed into limited service with a small number serving in Normandy situation. Maybe a 90mm gun armed version due to Tigers & Panther tanks then in service Canadian Ram Mk. II same situation as above. (would work for a CMFI pack as well) M3 Lee/Grant still being used in Normandy as a stop gap measure situation until more Sherman's arrived. (would work for a CMFI pack as well) Bishop SPG, stop gap used due to a lack of Priest's and Sexton's. (would work for a CMFI pack as well) M18 Hellcat, 90mm Gun armed version Those are a few that cross my mind:D
  6. BIG milk jugs I Hope!!! we'll see how good BF art department really is:D
  7. Ok just a couple thoughts & questions, So I think its safe to say that we will most likely get the M18 Hellcat, it was in US service in the Summer of 44 (late summer I think) so by Sep. 44, it should be included. I hope! M36 TD, I've read that it was just barely arriving in Europe & entering service in Sep. of 44. So this one I'm not sure if we'll see it in MG Module. What do you guys know & think, will it be added in MG or will we have to wait until the Bulge? Ok here's something that I'm curious about, why was the US 90mm M2 Gun not included in Normandy or Gustav Line? The 90mm M2 gun mount was designed to be dual-purpose, used in either the AA or AT role and was accepted standard issue in Mid 43. If it was used in the AT role or not during the war I don't know. However, now that we have light AA weapons in Gustav Line & the upcoming MG module, why not the US 90mm M2? I'd like to have one around to take on Tiger's I & II as well as a Panther in a quick battle. I understand US TD tactics of WWII & know that the towed TD units (anti-tank guns) were basically a failure due to the fact that they were never employed in their designed tactical role. (on the defensive) Yet we do have the 76MM L/50 M5 anti-tank gun in the game, so why no 90mm M2? Anywho just had those thoughts & hopefully I can learn something from you guys on the 90mm M2. Thanks
  8. Thanks for the answer Steve. Cant wait for MG. I'd be happy with two things in MG for the Americans. M18 Hellcat & Winchester 1897 Trench gun for American Squads. (albeit it VERY!!! limited numbers, like the FG42 in Gustav Line) House to house fighting with an 1897, that'd be interesting:D
  9. Just reposting to try & get an answer, Thanks again
  10. What about American Units/equipment? M-18 Hellcat? Us Yanks weren't involved to much in Market Garden other than the Airborne troops. So how much new American stuff will we see in this module? Thanks
  11. Hey! sshh quiet & easy guys, or we'll have PETA interrupting our release date & F5 monkeys!!!!!
  12. kohlenklau, Hey thanks very much, that's what I was wondering.
  13. +1 Battlefront, I know you don't want to make announcements before your ready to, & I'm not asking you to. But could you explain the "Packs" more? Are you planning on releasing packs after a base game & all of its Modules are released? What is the planed TOE of a pack? Will we see units/equipment, & possible what if equipment/units? (I'd like to see a what if for Normandy that included the American M6 tank, or German E-75 ) Like I say I don't expect an official announcement, more of a general definition of what kind of content we'll see in Packs. Thanks,
  14. Can we get a screenshot of the deepest possible snow in the game? Please:) P.S. wanna know how much time my pixel troopin will spend shoveling snow as compaired to waging war
  15. Maybe the Market Garden Module was just "A Module to Far".
  16. Yep an infantry division manned only by African-Americans, except for the officers, it'd be a small tribute to the 92nd if they could be introduced down the road into CMFI.
  17. Thx Normal Dude As long as they're in the running, that's all i wanted to know. Plus they just seem like good formations for a pack, historical enough to prehaps add down the road, but not large enough to justify a full blown Module. Thx again P.S. Thanks for all your hard work Normal Dude!!
  18. Hello, So i was just wondering if the 1st Special Service Force would possibly be included in a future Fortress Italy/Gustav Line Pack? Just curious because i know it was deployed in Italy & fought around the Anzio beachhead, but is it a large enough force or even that different of a formation to justify it being added at some future point. Also does anyone think we will see these other formations, either in another Module or pack at some future point for Fortress Italy? Mostly late 1944-1945 deployments BEF-Brazilian Expeditonary Force, FEC, French Expeditonary Corps, (i know this formation was already discussed in the Gustav Line thread), Moroccan Goumiers included under the FEC (Anyone thinking of CMA units being ported over as good stand ins??? ) US 10th Mountian Division US 92nd Infantry Division and probably serveral other formations im forgetting to mention, Im hoping to see some of these down the road in Packs at least, so im keeping my fingers crossed.
  19. I know this museum use to be at the Aberdeen Proving Ground in Aberdeen, Maryland, but it was scheduled to move to Fort Lee, Virginia by the end of 2011. So does anyone know if this move has been fully completed? Also with the latest government spending cuts does anyone know if the museum will still be open to the general public? Now one last thing, if this museum is open, just where the heck is it located in Fort Lee? I've done a few google searches trying find the answers to these questions but have only found news about the move that date back to 2009. No news that is more recent let alone a current website related to the Fort Lee museum location. I have also look on google maps/earth and have found no such location for the new museum. Thus i figured I'd turn to the grog's here for information, news, or even first hand knowledge of the current status of the United States Army Ordnance Museum. Thanks for any info:D
  20. Thanks guys now we'll have an additional 3-5 week delay until we se Gustav Line or MG Modules, just over mortar halftracks....really, i mean really guys... LOL just joking I was wondering where the Mortar Halftracks were, now i know. Somebody forgot to load them for the invasion, maybe the quarter master corps thought they were part of Patton's fictitious 1st Army, darn desk jockeys!!!
