The module is finished and being released today.

I was just thinking the RT crowd wouldn't have the time to watch all the little hand to hand battles/animations that could possibly go on. They may miss out completely on this. Or else they would be too busy watching GI Joe do his Kung fu moves on Jackie "Hans" Chan and totally miss that their left flank is caving in.

Not sure what the developers feel about this one. But often they say they don't have the resources at the moment to implement some of this stuff. Or they are working on getting it into the game. Who am I to say they are lying. I guess you will have to wait and see and join the ranks of "I want this in the game" crowd. If enough folk persistently and politely communicate their requests then maybe their wishes may come true.* After awhile of hanging out here you will notice there is no shortage of opinions on how things should be.

Looks like someone is trying to bash the game. So anyway.. maybe this week the CW mod will be released.. we can only hope. Looking forward to it.

I just bought the "The World at War" box set. In the first DVD they have an hour on the making of the series. In it they showed an interview with a German woman who said she was traveling on a train. In her compartment was a SS man who was on his way to the front. He told her he was on his way to battle and was looking to be killed. He wanted to die for the fatherland. He said he had been to the front many times but kept surviving.

Well in the end he said he liked the game overall and will continue to play it. He sounds like the typical CM gamer who dislikes certain aspects of the game and likes others. He probably has a wish list as well. The review may be badly written and has some negative criticisms about the game but that wouldn't deter me from checking out the demo and making up my own mind about buying the game.

The guy running one of these rifles on the tripod is an accurate little devil and he shoots at anything not just vehicles. I don't like him..

It would be neat to see a GI break out some Bruce Lee kung fu moves.

I take it to mean you can play SP as the Americans and you can't as the Germans. Which means the Germans have the AI plan. And its good to go for H2H play as well.

I agree about the ground invasion theory's. But wouldn't this be a perfect time or excuse for the western powers using air power to take a chunk out of Iran' military facilities and more importantly Nuclear facilities.

Well that's good news. I have never ran into any memory problems. But then I don't play huge maps if that has anything to do with it.

The AI in CM2 is alot more fun than it was in CM1.

I have been reading equipment stuff about this game for awhile now. And I got the impression its other way around. You need a very decent CPU and a half decent graphics card. The GTX 400 series cards seem to work well. The 500 series is even better. I have read the game runs off only one core of the CPU, so i get the feeling you need as big of CPU as you can afford. The memory thing is weird, some of the people who have reported this problem have very healthy rigs. Not sure if its hardware related.

I don't know if BFC will ever come back to Normandy but if they do it would be cool IMHO if they would expand on the beach battles. Add landing craft of various types and different types of fortifications. Include the British funnies as well. Once they had an engine that could handle that stuff. They could later release a Pacific mod with the American Marines and all the American landing stuff, Japanese fortifications and equipment.

And the sounds of bagpipers.

Yeah i saw a tank go sliding around a corner in a youtube video, pretty wild stuff. At least you got me to check out that game. I agree with some stuff in your OP and other stuff was kinda like .. meh! apples and oranges. It was one of the better " I want to see improvements" threads I have read. Except for the AI comment, that was kind of .. meh! And I don't care what others really think about the game. It will have it fans and it will have its critics. Can't please everybody all of the time BF knows their is room for improvement... i have read them say this tons of times. They always seem to be tweaking things. They just don't jump when somebody snaps their fingers, which is probably a good thing. You just have to be patient.

Yeah 15 years is a bit of an exaggeration. Somebody has been hanging out in a body bag too long. But I know what your getting at. There is always room for improvement. I find the mods help greatly with this.. those guys do really good work.

I fall asleep awaiting for my artillery to arrive and then if have my speakers turned up awake with a start and nearly mess my pants.
