  1. I have updated my tracer mod to V3. It now includes 3 different lengths of red tracer: Veins_tracers_A - Longest, most visible version Veins_tracers_B - Shorter, subtler version Veins_tracers_C - Short, bright tracer Use only ONE at a time. It should update to V3 on the repository soon(ish). Above: Veins_tracers_C - Short, bright tracer
  2. LOL, yes, I can do that. Trouble is that the shorter they are the less visible they are from a distance. I'll have a look at lunch at making some shorter ones. This way the V3 of the tracers mod will have longer, medium and short versions. Something for everyone!

There should be three files in the zip for the tracers mod: A text file that says: Tracers A - More visable red tracer; Tracers B - More subtle tracer and two .brz files called: Veins_tracers_A and Veins_tracers_B Put ONE of these into the Z folder. They are both red but with white centres, rather than the default yellow with white.
  4. They are a little differernt than the ones in CMSF. Yes they will work for that.

  6. Create a folder named 'Z' in your CMBN/data folder. Drop brz files into this. Fire the game up.
  7. OK. Tracers updated. There is now Tracers A & B. A is more visible. B are my originals.
  8. I know what you mean. The are meant to be subtle to negate the 'Lazer' effect. I'll have a look now over lunch and see what i can do.
  9. It's funny, but I'm far more adverse to my guys getting shot in CMCN than in Shock Force. In CMSF I was rather cavalier in my attitude towards casualites (hence the fact that I don't think I've won a single Major NATO victory). But in Battle for Normandy as soon as I run a squad into the path of an MG42 I get huge pangs of guilt. Maybe it's because they are relying on ME more than sophisticated gadgetry.
  10. Heh, I know what you mean Mikey, up until last year I had two accounts running at the same time. Every time I logged in half my stuff was missing. The next time I logged in (with the other account) the other half of my stuff was missing. The nice people at BF merged them for me though. Memory isn't what it... erm, what was I saying?

  12. Create a folder in your DATA folder called 'Z' Drop the files into that. And off you go.
  13. No plans to share any of my unit or vehicle skins. Mainly because they are always changing and never really finished. Unlike all these mods where there most definitely IS a finished state. But never say never.
  14. The fire looks particularly good at night. There is a slight 'glow' around the flames.
  15. They are different, especially the explosions. They are a little more subtle and the animation is smoother. Try it out and use whichever you prefer.
  16. It seems no matter what I select the 'Airborne Infantry' tab remains greyed out. What do I need to select to pick them? :confused: Or have they been held back for the Market Garden Release?

  18. I'm not sure what you mean by 'modernized'. If you mean those new fangled accents - I believe they call that 'American'.
  19. I don't know which one it is... probably the sound one. If you want rid of it unpack the mod by putting it into the 'Input' folder in 'Rezexplode' in your modtools folder then click Rezexpolde.exe. The loading bar files will be called 'Load progress...' and won't be in a folder (which is probably how I missed them). Once you have deleted the two files move the contents of the 'Exploded' folder into the 'Input' folder in 'Rezpack'. Then click RezPack.exe and a new 'Packed.BRZ' file is made. Name this what you want and you're done. EDIT: Just checked and yeah, it's the sound mod. That one's a little too big to reupload just to take the loading bar out. If I release a V2 I'll get rid of the little buggers.
  20. Oops, no. That's mine. You must be using one of my mods and I must have left it there by mistake! It's an ammo can full 'o' bullets.
  21. Added a no BEEP mod to the repository. It removes the BEEP at the beginning of US support chatter.
  22. OK I've modded the aircraft and artillery support chatter to have a squawk instead of a beep at the beginning. I'll upload it to the repository in a few minutes. EDIT: OK sent.
