Looks like another visual problem/bug?
mjkerner replied to mjkerner's topic in Combat Mission Battle for Normandy
Thanks, AKD. -
Yeah, I was wondering about that too. CMFI patch apparently has a couple of new scenarios, but I didn't see any in CMBN patch. Maybe some Easter Egg type thing in-game?

German Heavy Machinegun Team in semi-deployed mode. (When I installed the MG 2.11 patch, I had both my z folder and the Saved Games folders removed. These pics are from a Saved Game.) EDIT: Hmmmm, that's weird, I never had the pics from Photobucket downsize themselves when I paste them in here.???? -
Draw distance is better, and I can zoom around large wooded maps with ease, and I can have shaders on while doing it! A bit of a slog doing that before.

Vin's animated text mod was mostly the one that caused problems, IIRC.

OK, so the announcement says I won't be asked to "activate" the game if the install was done correctly. When downloading, as usual it asked if I wanted to run or save the file...si I hit "Run". But I did get asked for my license/serial number, so I copied/pasted it from my BFC purchase email, finished the install, and the loading screen does say "v2.11". So is my install f*cked up or what?

Bravissimo, Kk! When will it be uploaded?

Col_Handgrenade enters the battle...
mjkerner replied to Col_Handgrenade's topic in Combat Mission Battle for Normandy
That is the one I used. I was trying to be sly for security resaons, seeing as how there are so many thieves, charlatans and whores frequenting this site. Actually, all I did was just "Reply" to an earlier email from you. Still didn't get it? -

Experience ratings in sceanrios
mjkerner replied to Childress's topic in Combat Mission Battle for Normandy
I always assumed that when the AI troops are rated so high, it's to overcome the inherent limitations of the AI itself. When I make my own scenarios, I always give my cyber opponent high level experience. -
Mod request: red brick pavement
mjkerner replied to Broadsword56's topic in CM Normandy Maps and Mods
Yes, it should, since that's essentially what I did. I meant the color. -

Along these lines? This took about a minute, just to test it out. Anyone have any real pics to go by? -

Use CMMODS, it's much quicker and easier, IMHO. http://cmmods.greenasjade.net/mods -
So, does anyone know if there is anything similar for AMD Radeon 7700 series that would boost graphics?

Which way to the Hermann Goering Division-bitte ?
mjkerner replied to Tempestzzzz's topic in CM Fortress Italy Maps and Mods
One problem, though, Phil, every similar vehicle in game will look shot up, too. Still, easy enough to load/unload from z folder, depending on the scenario. Get to it, man! :-) -
Hey GSX, you must not have gotten the FJ uniform bug! Btw, there are some Brit scenarios in the Road to Nijmegen Campaign.

Rich database on casualties
mjkerner replied to warrenpeace's topic in Combat Mission Battle for Normandy
Yeah, that's my complaint with CM casualties. Not the number of them...the way a lot of us play, high casualties are gonna be the norm. But the ratio of KIA to WIA is way off. 1 to 4 or 1 to 5 seems to be the anecdotal norm, for Allies at least, in ETO WWII. Even in the PTO, Allied casualties generally fall into that range, no? -
It must be, Astrocat. The thing is, though, I couldn't find either the maps or the uniforms with "us-soldier-skin names in any of the bra files from Normandy 100 to the three MG ones.
-
Well, sometimes it's hard to figure out what BFC does behind the scenes, but your mod shows up in MG, so who cares? I'm liking it greatly, Fuser. Nice one, umlaut!

Aris, I just downloaded and opened up your US faces mod, and I'm confused. In the CM Base Game (Normandy v100) US skins are named like your mod...us-soldier-skin (followed by sequential numbers). In Normandy(v200) the names were changed to american_skin (#) and corresponding normal maps were added. I couldn't find that it changed back to the old naming convention in MG. Am I missing something? (I always rezexpolde the base files first thing after installing a new game/module.) I was just checking to see if they lined up with the normal maps, otherwise faces can get goofy looking, when I notice this.
