  1. Master maps rule. In 10 years of play I never opened the editor. Now I can't get away from it. Anyway, when I tried to model the Polish glider landings by the Johanna farm (3rd lift tue 19th) I noticed there was no rail road and embankment with culvert at the southern edge of the map, just the dirt road that was next to it. This matters because the Germans launched a large attack to overrun the landing zone as the polish gliders came in and retreating over the RR embankment and into Oosterbeek was the only way the para's could get out of the German attack. So, just put RR over the dirt road and elevate to about 44 and then a stone bridge with a dirt road under it to simulate the culvert used by the jeeps and you have a great LZ map with the Dreijenseweg, amsterdamnweg and Johannahoeve farm. This is a big senario but worth doing if you rig can handle 3-4 Battalions. I would like to see a map to fill in the city area between Oosterbeek and the Arnham bridge if anyone can do that. There was much fighting as the para's tried to reach the bridge party.
  2. I found that para-landings work well under the re-enforcement use of the editor and the johannahoeve farm master map. I have the polish landings at LZ-L appear in the drop zone at plus 5 mins while the 4 KOSB coys have their positions around the zone as described in Middleton's book. The Germans made a large attack at this time from woods north and east of the drop zone. The polish and British scrambled south of the railroad which can be an exit zone on the southern edge of the master map. This would make a great "huge"senario If someone can post it up. I don't have any importing skills so I make them as battlefield only for myself
  3. I am playing on Mac. If I post a scenario will it play on Mac only? I haven't seen any notes on this in the forum
  4. Thanks but I'm good at what's in the editor. My problem is I don't know how to bring in anything in or out of the game itself Charlie
  5. Thanks Mike. I will try to find notepad and paint but in the mean time I will try to send you what I have do you can see it. I like it cause it is historical and when I played it I happened as it did then. Even the opening when the tower MG hit the Germans by surprise was correct. I have to get the senario file to email if I can figure that I will send it along. I think it is a very playable one. Charlie
  6. I have made the senario but how do I get it from its game folder to the forum? I didnt get past isolating the folder for it. If I post it can others here fill in the small maps and text. The editor only has a place for text in the mission page. I can't fill in each sides orders or senario designer page. I can't do little maps. If I can out it here can others give it finishing touches? I have the map and correct forces for this senario. It's the MG meeting Engagement at Westerbouwing heights Sept 21. Thanks M1Charlie
  7. Yes both sides did. The British at the bridge pillbox and the Germans in their counter attack
  8. Went mods wharehouse and searched for briefing maps. What should I do to get briefing map pictures?
  9. Ok thanks all. I will add as much text as I can and put it on. I won't be able to do images for intro maps so I hope some one can fill in what it needs then
  10. Can someone give me the best way to post a senario on the forum?
  11. I have created most of an historically accurate Senario using the Oosterbeek master map. This battle for the westerbouwing heights has correct forces and plays out like the real battle on sept 21st 1944 in SW Oosterbeek. I don't know how to import pics for the briefings and have some text but not imported text. How can I put it here so others can add the things I don't know how to do. I'm sure some of you can give this what it needs. It's taken from Middletons book if you want to read what happened. Charlie
  12. Got the map done, it is the westerbouwing heights area. This action collapsed the SW perimeter and lost both the high ground and the Driel ferry landing for the Brits. Failing to put a large force here was a strategic over site that made reinforcing the Oosterbeek perimeter impossible later when the bridge was lost
  13. To be accurate a Bren gun position should be set at the NW corner of the crossroads. If you check goggle earth street view you can see a metal monument at that location, its small, maybe 3 feet high. The anti tank gun was right at the cross roads and got 2 or 3 tanks, one north and one east of the crossroads. The Germans did attack homes on Annastrat just below the main road and took possession of them
  14. Awesome, "I love it when a plan comes together" LN I'm using Arnhem 1944 by Martin Middlebrook for accurate forces. CMMG looks like they researched it well. They only missed the Bren gun position at the "cross roads" so far but that was easy to adjust. Thanks to SBurke, PanzerMike and JonS for his Sheriff of Oosterbeek thread. Charlie
  15. Yes that helps, just 3 things. How do you make a .btt copy of the map? How do you make directory? After copy made, how do you save to directory? I read JonS sticky as he wrote it before the game came out, is that the reference you mean to use? Sorry for all the basic questions, I have played for years but am not computer lit Thanks Charlie
